I happened to stumble across a very deceptive false news website,

http://channel4newstoday.com/indexps.html?t202id=188088&t202kw=18011, which advertised that new users would receive 100 bonus bids upon joining. So I followed the link, thinking I would be able to check out the site before I committed to any membership or charges. When I first submitted my credit card information and clicked on "submit" the page flashed and a message in red appeared (I can't remember what it said) but it led me to believe the information did not go through, so I re-submitted the information and apparently it signed me up twice. I only learned of the charges later in two emails welcoming me to their site. btw, both the names and passwords were the same. One was for the "purchase" of bids at $149.75 and the second one was for "purchase" of bids at $75.75. I have the emails showing that they were generated 2 mins. apart. I had bid on a couple of items unaware I was being "charged". I won a small item and paid for it before I had checked my email and realized I had charges that I didn't authorize. I have contacted them twice and received one automated answer via email.

I then decided to google the site and saw by the results that quite a few other people have filed complaints. I hope they will subtract the charges but by what I've read, I will probably have quite a struggle getting this done. Please beware. I really did not believe I could be "taken in".
