So I rented a 3 bedroom house from these people. First after I paid my deposit and got my keys I was informed that the house didn't pass inspection from the city inspector and was not approved for occupancy. So after giving them $2500 for the deposit & first month rent, I ended up having to pay another month rent @ my previous apartment. Luckily I had an understanding landlord who hadn't found a new tenant yet. Also, befre I realized they were slumlords I referred a friend to them. He paid a deposit (partially his own fault) for a house that the tenants were in the process of moving out of. Every week they gave him a ridiculous excuse as to why the house still wasn't available, then refused to give him back his security deposit. They told him he had to wait 30 days for a refund but continued to give hime the run around. Hhe ended up waiting 4 months before he finally got his money back. Then, after I moved in, it rained & I discovered that the master bedroom had water leakage halfway across the room. After reporting I was given the run around about getting it repaired. Then on the 26th of the month they were already calling me about rent that wasn't even due yet. After exposing that they clearly had cash flow problems they offered to pick up the money from me either at home or at work because they couldn't wait until the end of the business day for me to bring it. Then to top everything off, I came home to find a notice that the home was the subject of a foreclosure. And after researching found that they had four properties in foreclosure through this bank. Their office has some of the most unprofessional and poorly trained employees I've ever seen. Their process for doing business is probably the worst I've encountered in a long time. They have inconvenienced me and cost me a great deal of money and it seems like there should be a fine from the government for stuff like this. Companies shouldn't. Be allowed to prey on the public, especially when it comes to matters of a neccessity like housing. |
