POLAROID POLAROID ADMITS TO SELLING DEFECTIVE FLAT SCREEN TV'S, BUT WILL NOT REPAIR , Internet
22nd of Jun, 2011 by User843016
My parents bought me a 37" Polaroid LCD TV style FLM 373B three years ago at Walmart.
Of course after the warranty expired, the TV stopped working completely. A call to Polaroid informed me that this style TV was known to be defective, as hundreds of others have had the same problems (Black screen) and that the parts to repair it (if they could locate the part which I was told was nearly impossible) would cost me $300 and that I was better off just buying another TV!!!
They Do Not stand by their merchandise, and have ripped off hundreds of people. A three year old TV is expected to last a lot longer than three years. TV repairman won't even come look at it as they will not touch a Polaroid TV.
Polaroid should be reported to a higher authority and a class action suit should be issued against them.

My polaroid Tv is only 6 yrs old and the screen turns blue, then yellow, then green. I can hear the sound but no picture. We have to unplug it to turn it off, then it works for a while then repeats the same problem.
