Dear Mr. Michael Winginger, Pizza Hut Area Regional Manager
I am writing to complain about very poor service and management from the
Wingstreet Pizza Hut, 1201 Carlisle St, Hanover Pa.
Store number 1003, Phone 717-632-4647
Last Ticket Number 317
Name: Herring's 350 Manor Drive, New Oxford, Pa 17350
Phones: (717) 624-3930 ~ (717) 321-6808 ~(717) 321-6807
Several weeks ago we ordered a take out order that was incomplete. When we called the manager said our next order would be 50% off. When we reordered we received $10.00 off. Our son is not one to complain. They just told him that was all we were to receive off. It was a large order.
On Friday Nov. 12th I called in to place an order and told the order taker what had happened last time. I wasn't looking for a freebie ~ an apology would have just been nice but he put a manager on. I repeated the whole thing and he abruptly cut me off several times with smart comments. He said no manager would have said they would give us 50% off, that there was no way for them to do that. His comments were starting to get to me so I said just take my last order with your store. A large meat lovers pan pizza with ex cheese and ex pepperoni. I asked specifically if that type of pizza was as large as the regular ones and he said yes, they are all a standard 15 inches. I even asked him twice.
When we picked up our $14.00 Pizza it was an inch to a inch and a half inch smaller the usual. I told him it was not a reg. Large size we were used to and there was hardly any meat on it, no ex pepperoni, all of which we were charged for and he said it was a standard 15 inch pizza. (NOW I'M MAD) And I told him my son has worked at the Gettysburg Pizza Hut for almost 4 years (he recently stopped working for them) and that was not a large. (You'll love this one), he told me Gettysburg has different size pans then we do. I took this scrawny pizza out to my husband ~ who never gets mad ~ and he immediately went in to complain. He told me the same stupid Gettysburg has different size pans story and was so insulted we just left. Now not only bad service and quality now we were taken as stupid as well. (It gets better.)
On Sat. Nov 13th I called the store to find out the exact time I made the order and who the manager was that I had talked to. She said there were three managers on at that time. I could not believe it! There were about three customers in the store and the way they talked to us we thought it was some smart kid saying he was a manager. Anyway I talked to Manager Elizabeth Altman and she said she would look up my ticket and call me back. That was at 10:50am. She still had not called by 2:30pm so I called her. She said I had placed the order at 9:15pm the night before.
Mgr. Altman gave us a final insult with your story. I had to write this whole thing down and send it to you
( Michael Winginger, Pizza hut Area Regional Manager) in an Email because you were out of town where your cell phone did not get any connection to any towers and you were conducting business via Email ~ calling in for your messages. Now I' am not a smart person but I know that if you could call in for your Emails, you could call me. A sensible person would know that if a customer is obviously already upset, that taking time out of there Sat & Sun to construct a letter of this content over a $14.00 Pizza you are further going to aggravate this customer. Your story about being in the only part of the earth that dose not receive cell phone coverage and did not have any other Area Regional Managers or such who could save me the three hours this letter cost me. I could have been spending the time with my Granddaughter.
My advice to all concerned is to BE POLITE, BE TRUTHFULL, and HAVE PRIDE IN YOUR WORK!
We have been ripped off money, quality and had our intelligence questioned. It is easy enough to confirm that we are telling you the truth by a simple search of the computer with our name. And why would we lie. This was a lot of work over a $14.00 scrawny Pizza don't you think? |
