| If I knew then what I know now, I would have opted for central heat rather than a gas pack. I hate this company and it is obscene how they are allowed to treat and charge their customers. After 6 years of service I was late making a payment. Their 'policy' is to close your account after 5 days of "non-payment" and charge you an $85 reconnection fee and ANOTHER $200 deposit to open a NEW account. Where there's no competition, there's no capitalism so they get away with charging you whatever they want. Guess the stupid public should just be glad that their reconnection fee isn't $10,000 because, in reality, it very well could be and you're stuck with no other option for service. PNG is very much aware of what they do and, bottom line, they don't give a crap. |

| Piedmont gas company in Nashville Tn is EXACTLY the same way. We only ;use gas for heat in the winter so I wanted to turn it off for the summer. Woa.. You pay a reconnect fee of $85.00 that's bull crap. If I don't want to disconnect it is $$13.44 per month when I'm not using it. Well that's 6 months I don't need it. Go figure comes out to be the same. I disconnected it on principle it pisses me off to pay for something I don't want or NEED. Then they have the monopoly on heat so I can't even take my business elsewhere. So my appointment is today. the best they can tell me is it's an ALL DAY appointment so I take off work to sit home ALL FREAKING DAY and here it is 5:30, I would have been home from work by now anyway. So i call...oh they will be there between now and midnight. For real? They know they have the market cornered they know you don't have a choice and they do not give a crap. |
