My bilingual boyfriend was called on his cell phone January 4th 2013 to ask if he would be interested in a possible winning of Lottery. That all he had to do was subscribe to their magazines at a low discounted price with a one month charge of 66.40. Which is something that we can afford for ONE month. On January 7th 2013 they sent us a letter stating that we are going to be billed 66.40 a month for 12 months that's 796.80 for magazines we cant afford.I did not know that my boyfriend had ordered this and put the letter in the junk mail pile thinking it was junk so we did not even open it till today 2/19/13. We will lose our apartment if we have to pay for this for a whole year. The letter that they sent did not say anything about their cancellation policy, but when I called they said there was a three day cancellation period and that they had explained this to my boyfriend over the phone. He has not ordered anything without me there to help explain what they are saying and did not realize that this is what had happened. I tried to explain to
periodicals (kyle the rep) that we have no way to pay this amount and that we haven't even received any magazines yet and that his bank account might close because of low funds. He then told me that this balance has to be paid whether its through the account or through creditors. This is just crazy to me that there is no way to cancel and that the only way they can help is to drag out the payments for 24 months and lower them to 33.20 a month, well that is about half the money I have to spend on food for the month. All that was made was a verbal agreement over the phone I don't see how that's valid he should
of had to sign something for such a high amount of money to be drawn from his account. Ive seen so many complaints on the internet on this Company, its very disturbing I want to do something about this I need
help! Has anyone been able to receive their money back or been able to cancel? If so please comment. Thank you! Sincerely,Disgruntled and worried !!!
