Perfumedeals.com Caron Narcisse Noir - Fake Perfume Internet |
30th of Jun, 2011 by User757507 |
I have ordered Narcisse Noir parfum (1.0 oz) by Caron from PerfumeDeals.com site or at least that was what I thought I ordered. When I received the package, I was simply shocked. The front side of the perfume box said Narcisse Blanc and the back side of the package said Narcisse Noir. I have done an extensive research before ordering. Narcisse Blanc and Narcisse Noir are two distinct perfumes produced by the designer house of Caron. I suspected that what I had received was a fake. I have contacted one of the specialized Caron boutiques; they, in turn, gave me the name of the Caron distributor in the United Stated. I got in touch with the distributor and explained the situation. She absolutely stated that it was a fake. In fact, there is no such thinhg as a ready packaged Narcisse Noir perfume. This perfume is ONLY sold at the Caron boutiques since it is decanted into the small vials from a larger container. It is not factory packaged and not sold in ready to purchase packages. It is very important to keep this piece of informatiom in mind because the explanation I have received from the seller was simply ignorant. Here it is: "Hi ..., Thanks for your order. Narcisse Noir is the original French Name of the perfume. Created in 1911 by Ernest Daltroff, it heralded an era in art and fashion that would look to the East for the inspiration. After the success of magical Narcisse Noir, Ernest Daltroff reworked the composition to make a Blanc, white, version for the American market which is widely sold in North America. Because many French people in USA still knows this perfume like Narcisse Noir, most of the resellers still sell it under this name. If you still want to return this amazing perfume, please let me know and I will send you return authorization. We never sell imitations. It's illegal to sell imitations in North America!!! " No kidding - so the seller understands that it is illegal to sell imitations. I was also shocked that when I told the seller about my research and findings, they did nothing to further investigate the matter on their side. Here is the follow up I received: "I am sure that if you go to your local department store and ask for narcisse noir perfume 0.5 oz you will find the same package.I will investigate this further with our warehouse and I will let you know." Apparently, the seller had not conducted any investigation and replied to my further clarification that there are two distinct perfumes in existence, the seller replied: "This is the version widely sold in USA. I am not sure who is right. You, our distributors. But you can find this package on almost any Perfume website." This response is not acceptable and I feel that the online customer community needs to be aware of this ripoff.
