I can’t believe the nightmare I had to endure.
About three months ago, I decided to renovate my bathroom. It was a simple job, but since I am considering selling the house, I thought a modern bathroom would be worth the investment.
My neighbor told me her son was a licensed plumber and contractor. I did interview the owner and his son, both named Frank. They appeared professional, and since he said I was friends with his mother, he would charge me $6000 instead of the normal $10,000. The housing market being what it is, I agreed.
Ok, you all are going to guess the ending, but I didn’t. Frank told me he had to buy supplies, and pay his workers, so I paid him the money up front. He told me the entire job would take no more than three days. The next day, two strange degenerate men showed up 3 hours late. I was concerned, but his mom seemed to know the guys. They tore up my bathroom, and said they would be back later. They didn’t come back. The following day, no one came. I called Frank’s mom and she never got back to me. The following day at 7 AM Frank showed up. He was beeping his horn screaming and obviously drunk. The profanity he spewed out.
I called his mom and she said Frank was going through a divorce from his wife and his son had cancer. I said I wasn’t comfortable having him come back. I tried to be fair, and I stated that his crew did the demo, so just return $4500. That is when my nightmare began. For the last three months, I have received nothing except harassing calls and drive by’s. I even found excrement at my door a couple of mornings. I would sue, but looking at this guy’s history I doubt if I am going to get my money back.
