Pep Boys
Pep Boys Air Conditioning replacement Orange Park, Florida
18th of Jan, 2011 by User700919
Upon entering the service center of Pep Boys you will likely be greeted by the service manager who will take your information and after some paper work your vehicle will be inspected by a mechanic. After a brief amount of time the service manager and mechanic will inspect your vehicle together, this is when they configure what amount of money they can make from you. I was told that I needed a new ac system, approx. cost $700.00 with a 6 month warranty. I told them to recharge the present system and if I noticed any leaks I would be back. A green dye was used to indicate leaks, before I left I was told that I should not be alarmed when I popped the hood and noticed green dye all over the engine compartment. It's been two years and the ac has lost some of it's charge, but is still operable. In most ac systems there are microscopic holes in hoses and connections that can not be plugged. I now go to a more reputable auto parts house, I would not let Pep Boys change oil in a lawn mower, these people are taught to prey on the uninformed and have no regrets of their actions.
