I wish that I found this site before I erroneously called PC Care 247. My PC Care 247 review is long, but it is an abridged version to the experience in its entirety.


I thought that it was a Dell hot line. Like Marie I was repeatedly misinformed by this company. Her story is completely verifiable. My text will not accurately describe how horrible my experience with this company was simply because I will not spend any more of my life thinking about them after I am through typing this. &nbspI was continually up sold by an untrustworthy manager named Zahoor. I was in a rush to get out the door but Zahoor told me that my computer problem was so serious that I needed to cancel my dinner plans and speak with a technician right away. When the technician called me back, the first thing that I asked him (before receiving any type of service) was whether or not this could be put off until after the weekend. He quickly responded that it could in fact wait.

At this point I had no trust in the company and did not want to do business so I hung up and called Zahoor back. He told me that my credit card would not be charged and that I did not have to participate in their service. This whole time I still thought that I was dealing with Dell computers. I was never greeted with a welcome such as PC Care 24 7. Of course when I checked my credit card bill a week later there was a charge for 299.95. I promptly called back and demanded a refund.

After being shuffled around from department to department (took about 2 hours) I was told that I would get a call back from a manager in the sales department, Mansha, (Name is most likely spelled incorrectly). She did in fact call me back but made no progress towards a refund. It was clear that someone was standing behind her telling her what to say. At this point I had been hung up on, cursed at, and yelled at, so I asked for her to spell her name and give a call back number in case we got disconnected. She gave me a completely different number than I had ever called before and hung up on me before spelling her name. I was never called back.

At this point I was furious and I called back to speak with a manager. After about 30 minutes I was told by a manager, Jeshawn (Name is most likely spelled incorrectly) that I would receive a full refund and that he would call me back in 5 minutes to confirm my refund and that I would receive an e-mail confirming this within 24 hours. He never called me back and I never received an e-mail. So I called back again an hour later and spoke with Nick who told me that I would get the confirmation e-mail within 24 hours.

24 hours later I had no confirmation e-mail. I got back in touch with Jeshawn. He apologized for not calling me back the day before. He said that he did not call me back because his shift ended and he went home. There was absolutely no progress made on my refund and if I had not called back it would not have been reversed.


Fast forward through another 3 hours of me wasting my time, I was told by Jeshawn's manager, Steven, that he would have to review my case to see if I was eligible for a partial refund. He also told me that he would call me back. I tried to calmly express my frustration to him and was constantly interrupted. Iwas told things like You have waited all this time, 10 more minutes won't kill you. Please keep in mind by this point I had already spent about 7 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. He also told me that we have over a million customers world-wide who disagree with your opinion that we run a bad business. I can't understand how that is even possible with service like this.

At this point I will stop my rant before I have a stroke thinking about this absolutely horrid experience. If you are considering using PC Care 247, don't!Don't ever call this place. Save yourself about 10 hours.

i had a call of this company and they used a software to get onto my computer i believe this guys are scammer hackers and should be wiped of the face of the earth there all scum

i unknowingly called these jokers too thinking it was Toshiba. by a stroke of good intuition or luck there was enough that didn't seem "quite right" about these guys (especially the pressure sales tactics and instead of tackling my iniital problem, trying to sell me a program) that I begged off saying I had to discuss any purchases with my husband first. I then searched for reviews of this company adn found many bad reviews and realized it was in fact a scam. I then called the real Toshiba support number and informed them of the scam. problem is they are the first ones to appear on the google search results list and it is all very misleading. I remember questioning Amir at pccare asking "Do you work for Toshiba or for PCCARE?" to which he replied: We work for Toshiba and support Toshiba as well as Dell etc..." I'm glad I checked them out before purchasing. I thought it they were legit they would allow me to come back to them to purchase what i needed, but if they are scammers they would insist I buy NOW before I could rethink things or check them out. They called me back the next day to try to close the deal and I gave them a peice of my mind and hung up on them.

This company needs to be brought to justice by the FCC and prevented from ripping off any more unsuspecting pc users. Under the false guise of representing McAfee, they told me that my netbook was in immediate danger of being hacked and that I needed their $299.95 service without delay to prevent a catastrophic intrusion into my computer files. I panicked and accepted their lie and agreed to the service only to discover later that PCCare has no affiliation with McAfee and that there was no evidence of any attempt to hack my computer..
I have reported this scam to my credit card company and they are currently investigating while holding back on payment to PCCare. A credit card customer service rep told me that I might still be responsible for paying PCCare because I agreed to accept their service. But my acceptance was based on a lie to about a non-existent threat made by a company that misrepresented its role as McAfee's tech support. So, should my credit company mistakenly determine that I am liable to PCCare, I will continue to dispute the charge until I prevail.
If you need tech support, be very careful to check that you are not dealing with PCCare. They are dishonest, disreputable and disgusting. Buyer beware!

all my client details and some really important data on my laptop.

This company ( 24/7 PC Care) called me yesterday and tried to tell me that the alerts in my Event Viewer were due to me having a virus. As I know about computers I knew what they were saying wasn't true, when I pointed this out to the person on the phone, he said "ok forget looking at that" and made me look in my WINDOWSinf folder where he then tried to convince me that duplicate files in there were due to my computer having a virus. I could tell the person I was talking to knew less about computers than I did and googled his company name as he continued with his attempt to scam me. Even after reading to him several internet articles about his company being a scam he still had one final half hearted attempt at convincing me before finally hanging up. Having read articles about this the next step, had I not have pointed out to him I was aware he was lying, would have been to get me to allow him to remotely access my computer so they could install a virus and then charge for its removal!!! Since the company is in India I'm not sure about prosecution but feel there must be something that can be done about these companies, as I believe there is more than one operating from there as I think iYogi is another one. They come up first when you google "Dell technical support" and having spoken with them they claimed to be Dell, but raised my suspicions when they too seemed to know less about computers than I did!

I believe Google to be as culpable for these circumstances as the company because most of their "search results" are nothing but paid ads...unmonitored and uncontrolled...as long as the ad was paid for. have you noticed some ads even have blank spaces that get filled in with your search query? I once googled for " child molesters as pets" and got no less than 12 results
due to the " fill in the blank " google paid listings! I bet PCCare has the same kind of ad, that Google allows to be adapted to your search query, be it Dell, Toshiba, Norton, McCaffrey, etc. Google doesn't care if we are deceived, as long as the offending company has paid their fees.

I must add my name to the list.
I, too, contacted what I thought was my avast security provider. The scenario which followed is like all the others, railroaded into believing that my computer was hacked and for their fee...
They removed programs without my consent, added others and my computer then wouldn't allow me to respond to e-mails by my security provider. After getting in contact with the legit. support people for my security provider, we were able to undue the "fix" that pccare provided, and at no fee.
I have sent them 4 e-mails via their "terms and policy" site to no avail. Phone numbers only lead you to "tech" support, forget trying to connect with accounting to discontinue service.
DO NOT use these people!!!

I have gotten several calls in the last few days from these thieves. I know of course that ANYONE calling trying to tell you that your computer has problems that they will fix for you is a scammer, but I do try to string them along, mainly for my own amusement, but also because any time they waste talking to me is time they can't spend trying to rip off some poor victim. I have two simple rules for internet survival. Anyone who emails or calls me unsolicited NEVER gets:

1. ANY personal or banking information, including but not limited to SSN, banking information, credit card or atm card numbers, or anything similar.

2. ANY access of any kind to my computer.

Be careful out there!
