This service is such a scam. This company is a Gay and Lesbian Dating Service. First step: They call you in for an "interview". They will give you a questionaire and someone will ask you tons of questions. They will make it seem like they are an exclusive service that carefully screens their client. When the truth is that anyone that "appears" half way sane and a credit card number (the credit card machine is in the interview room, no surprise) can sign up for this "premium" service. They charge upwards of $2,000 - $5,000 (non-refundable) for the bull crap I will soon describe to you. So, if you pass the sanity test and have a credit card, congrats you are now a client. Now let the fuckery began. They will ask you two dozens questions about your preferences. You know, things you like physically, emotionally....great. Check to see if your mic is on, because this is the part where they don't listen. They will attempt to match you with just anything. I swear, they throw names in a hat, pick out two and suggest they you two meet. None of the preferences that you requested are even considered besides the fact that you are both the same sex. When you try calling your "matchermaker", they are NEVER available and extreme poor at returning your call. The only department you will readily get a hold of....is you guessed it, the inital interviewer with the credit card machine handy. Not only is this a waste of money, it's a waste of time. I felt so strongly about it, I must warn you. If I can save one person from signing up for this wasted service, I have succeed. Partners Unite is extremely limited in their selection of potiental people. So do not be fooled that there are tons of people waiting to be matched. Good Luck in your search, just don't stop here. |

100% agree with this. They are a HUGE scam. They are most certainly NOT a "matchmaker"; rather they just take your money, make you all kinds of assurances that they have a great pool of people, but man-o-man, they do not.
Of the "dates" they've arranged for me, only one I would have considered "in the park"; the rest were so far off the reservation, it's not even funny. In fact, most of the people they set me up with had been out on dates with the same people as me! It's clear they mislead me into thinking that they have a much greater database of potential matches, when in fact, they have a tiny fraction of that.
it's sad that I laid out the money for this and that they're taking advantage of people - and seemingly getting away with it.
It's hard enough to meet quality people and to make it worse, I've paid lots of money to get matched up with people with whom I have nothing in common other than the fact they have a few dollars (or a credit card) and are looking for a same-sex relationship.
If I had seen this before I signed up, I would have saved some $$$ and serious frustration.
Don't bother with this very unrepeatable, bullshit company.
(Oh, and by the way, their "matching department" isn't even in the USA! The company is supposedly based in NYC, but they "matchmakers" are in Canada! They've never met me or even seen a picture! It's crazy!) |
