Argh another asian LED company, Orphek, seems to have bitten the dust at my expense. A line of diodess in my PR-156 fixture from Orphek led lighting has burned out after only a few months, and guess what? No response about the issue from Orphek, and even more suspicious: no phone number for the company on their website. This is the 21st century and they don't have contact info?! Who doesn't have contact info on their website? Shady companies, that's who, and Orphek is definitely shady. I'm lucky I bought the unit from Marine Depot, otherwise I would have been completely screwed over with no one to support the PR-156 LED fixture which cost me over $800!!. Marine Depot employees let it leak that they may stop carrying Orphek LED lights due to the terrible service (or complete lack of service, it seems to me) and good riddance I say. Useless company that makes a product that fails after a few months and then doesn't support it.
These damn chinese companies are a dime a dozen, and Orphek LED lighting is just another one to come and go. I should have realized this before purchasing, so I'm warning everyone now!!! DO NOT BUY FROM ORPHEK LED LIGHTING!! |

Orphek is an International company selling its products worldwide, providing quality customer assistance services in many languages, including English. Our warranty & shipping policies are detailed in our website and we have a no return clause. Our company would never ask it’s clients to return a defective unit to China, simply because it is against our policy. Units purchased in the USA with a valid warranty can be sent (by the original purchaser) to a US address for repair, upon our technical support evaluation and decision. If a defective unit cannot be repaired, and it is under a valid warranty, our company will replace it for a brand new product, free of charge.
Orphek is not a Chinese company. In fact we are proudly an international company spanning many countries and nationalities. We have an online Technical Support, answering to enquiries from all over the world, including local support in Canada, USA, Israel, Switzerland, Dubai, Brazil and UK. Not only that, distributors, retailers and shop owners carrying our products are required to hold minimum stock of units/parts for replacement if needed. They are also required to provide technical support to their clients in order to answer questions, give guidance and assist in the proper use and maintenance of our units. Our clients are definitely our most important assets, therefore we are 100% committed to their satisfaction. We invest in customer assistance efficiency because our clients have real value! Our relationship with our clients is so good in fact, that they are often proud to provide us amazing images of their tank for display in our gallery page in our website. Almost all of the photos in our gallery are taken by our customers with our lights over their tanks.
In the same opportunity we would like to state that the company’s disclaimer is a standard disclaimer for all companies selling products via Internet, valid for all the countries we do business with, including the USA.
We would also like to clarify that we haven’t sold the PR-156 solution to anyone directly for the price stated in this anonymous bashing; therefore it should not be taken seriously.
Regarding this alleged purchaser, we advise to all consumers evaluating to purchase our products, or ANY other LED lighting product, that anonymous bashing should not be taken under consideration. Someone who is really not satisfied with a purchase of any kind, and has the good will of helping others, does not hide himself under an anonymous signature. Bashing is considered a crime even when performed via Internet anonymously, and it can be subjected to both Criminal and Civil Lawsuits.
