Oreilly's Auto Parts Oreilly's Auto Parts is not responding to the cheap parts!!! Springfield, Missouri |

I have my original receipt (lifetime warranty 2007) from Murray's Auto parts for front brake pads. I recently (June 2010) purchased front brake pads from Oreilly's Auto Parts under this warranty and given brakes that were not compatible to ones warranted. The brakes Oreilly's sold me were of a cheaper and less quality then the ones I had under warranty. My front brakes were grinding and sqeeching something aweful. I informed one of the employee's at Oreilly's and was told that my "rear brakes might need changing as well, thereafter my rotors should be changed, then I was given a different kinda brakes" finally after purchasing all of the above and a third set of brakes my car now sounds great. These are the brakes I should have been given in the very beginning. Mind you...the mechanic from the shop stated from the very beginning "the sounds are coming from those cheap brakes". I have a Chrysler and maybe its something or maybe someone else can relate to this as well. This has been stressful, time consuming, embarassing and very expensive. I called the corporate office September 15, 2010 and was told to file a labor claim and I will be hearing something from 6 to 8 weeks. Let me also add; each person I spoke to from Oreilly's local and corporate made an attempt to shift the blame to the auto shop while persuading me to continue to buy parts. The mechanic explained the procedure of spraying and cleaning the rotors, springs, and in this case greasing the caliber pins. etc. A couple days ago November 15, 2010 (2 months) I called the corporate office in Springfield and spoke with a guy by the name of Randy. Randy stated that someone would call me back the same day. No one called me back. I did a follow up call the same day and spoke to someone by the name of Jay from the corporate office in Phoenix and he basically stated the same as the latter and I did not hear anything from him as well. The attitude and a few sly remarks made throughout this whole ordeal has motivated me to write. My receipts, dates, time, and correspondance is in order. Why is this company refusing to honor the facts before them? After running back and forth to Oreilly's the last few months has allowed me to meet the consumer; the consumer who has experienced the same problem one time or another with Oreilly's parts, receipts, etc. For various reasons the consumer did not pursue the complaint or claim. I think I will exceed the expectations. The corporate attitude is outrageous and I can clearly define the corporate attitude but my opinions and thoughts are reserved. The facts will make the difference. If anyone out there has experienced the same services from Oreilly's Auto parts please get in touch with me via Ripoff report...... |
