We were scammed by http://www.marketingdoneright.net/contact.html, they also go by opt-In marketing and www.veely.com. AVOID THESE GUYS!! This company was supposed to launch an email campaign for us on 9-7. They told us we could provide them with SIC codes so the email would be sent out to the demographic of our choice. The "fake" campaign was launched on August 31st a week early. When we went to check out the traffic using a 3rd party software we learned that there was fake IP addresses sent through to our site. We were told that there were over 20,000 people that clicked through to our site. This was a lie. As mentioned the site was hit 4,000 times and each visit uniquely enough was for 2 seconds...hmmm sure makes sense. So I emailed him and said you are telling me that we had 20,000 visits which is clearly a lie, we had 4,000 and all of them were fake. They want you to believe that a spike in traffic was from them. It sure makes a lot of sense that 4,000 people clicked on the email due to interest and immediately left the site after 2 seconds??? I emailed them asking for a refund and sent supporting documentation (Google Analytics) to reflect the bogus traffic and the only response back was that Ip's registered on the site. I explained that we knew it was fake traffic by the bounce rate and time on site plus another 3rd party that does our SEO also confirmed the IP's to be falsified. I also asked why this was "sent" on August 31st and who it was sent to since they had no idea who we wanted to target...never a response back. They made us pay with a check so as to not fight the charge on a credit card. You've been warned, hopefully you read this before you take the plunge. Stay away!!
