Online Trade Training money taken, no refund given when requested internet |
14th of May, 2011 by User469528 |
I saw this website on national news. I thought I would try it out. After I had paid for it and 24 hours of thought, I requested a refund. What I've received so far is this: "Can you please let me know how many chapters you've read of our Essential Applied Internet Marketing certification manual? We require our students to read the certification manual, speak to their mentors, and actually trying to apply themselves before we can offer a refund. You've barely been a member for one day and now you want your money back." AND after I said I had an emergency in my life I got this: "Can you please describe your situation in detail? What happened and how is it related to the $97 certification program? We can get you certified within a week probably and being paid to post links. I will make sure to put you ahead in the queue due to your emergency situation." and THEN I said no I will not be describing my life to a perfect stranger I got this: "In that case I'm afraid you will have to try the certification program before I can apply a refund. We can not offer a refund to any customer who at least doesn't try the program. You simply need to read the first two chapters and provide me a summary of both, and we can get the evaluation process started so you can begin posting links and getting paid for them. " This company posts everyone earns money who tries they're program.... They say I have to read two chapters. Then try it for 0 days. OF course they do because they don't issue refunds. There's no clear evidence I'll get my money back. They've ripped me off my money, as a single parent I decide this wasn't for me and now I'm out a h8undred dollars. Thank you good morning america for posting how awesome this was....not. RIPOFFED. |

Who are these people and how do they live with themselves? Karma will always come back around! Just another savvy Craigslister with the exact same emails that were posted above sent to me. I am going to reply to this so called lady w/ the free stuff and give her a piece of my mind then report the add to Craigslist. Pretty much all you can do. Really feel sorry for the people that fall for this. |
|
|
I received an email from them telling me that I should be getting my refund in a couple of days. I hope it will show up on my card.
Thanks,
igabon

Hey,
I am really sorry. the other person actually replied back again, it turned out her first message
landed in my spam mail and I just never saw it. I feel really bad..
You know, if you're interested, I've been making very good money with this work from homeprogram and they just opened up 2 more positions in our area. Basically you earn money by
posting links on the internet, it's very simple and I just do it while watching TV.
Heres the link if you want to check it out:

I've made around $700 each week since I started.. not enough to quit my job yet but I finally
have some spare money in my bank account lol. My sister is planning to sign up later and
these positions usually go fast, so I'd appreciate it if you don't give the link to anyone else.
Thanks a lot and again, very sorry about the whole mix up..

I also replied to a Craigslist ad for a "Free Slide-out Work Desk" and received pretty much the same e-mail message. It indicates the same information or it's the same e-mail as the one Lizers19 received above. The following was the e-mail response I received:

If it wasn't for this website, I would have probably sent them the money they were requesting. The cost began at $97. When I attempted to leave their webpage, the price went down to $59.95. I left the website page open while I was trying to determine whether or not I would be paying since the payment decreased. I just did not quite feel right about the whole situation so I attempted to close the page down again and guess what?... The price went down AGAIN to approximately $37 this time. This is when I knew something wasn't quite right and began researching the company and found this website right on time because I was about to pay the $37 since the price had decreased so much.
I couldn't believe it when I read the e-mail message Lizers19 posted above. It was pretty much identical to the one I received!! So, YES, it certainly looks like they're just cutting and pasting the same message, changing the names, and they are utilizing different items they are alleging to be giving for "FREE" on Craigslist to hook you in.
P.S. I went back to the e-mail message I received above yesterday and clicked on the web link "Sarah" sent me, but the website/article was no longer available. The following message was what populated when I clicked on the link today (only one day after I received their initial e-mail message):
"Link ID not provided or invalid".
BE VERY CAREFULL AND DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!
Thank you all for posting this information regarding this scam before I was out any amount of money!! |

A woman on Craig's list tricked me into checking Online Trade Training for myself as she was making $800/month. My IQ may be high but I can be so stupid. Not five minutes after authorizing the charge I discovered what I had actually purchased and wanted a refund. To make it short, OTT has been stringing me along for over two months telling me I have been issued a refund yet I haven't seen any credit to my card. I filed a dispute of the charge with my bank (BB&T) and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Both only take a few minutes and I urge you to file with both. They do not know who they are dealing with in me. I am not going to give up and go away and neither are you. Send me an email regarding filing a class-action lawsuit on behalf of all of their victims. I want to hear your experience with OTT and maybe ask you to be a Plaintiff. Let's put these bottom feeders out of business!
Join me.

I almost fell for the online job posting. I was helping my sister-in-law obtain information about a free treadmill being given way in Northwest Indiana. I emailed the lady about the item and asked her in what parts of Northwest Indiana she lived so we may make arrangement to pick the item up. Well after a couple of days of not hearing anything she came back to me with an email stating that the first lady who was interested her email had gone into her spam box and then she proceeded to tell me about the job for working at home and she was all to kind to supply me with the link to the money winning web site. I am glad I went with my insticts on this one. It just felt funny and I thought I would search things I first before I gave any of my information out. I am glad I did. It is sad we have this going on in our day and age when people really do need jobs. Just make sure to check everything out online before applying for anything. |

Okay so I guess the use of Craigslist is now the norm for this scam Online Trade Training.
I too responded to an ad for a free item. I didnt hear anything so I figured the item was gone. But then, I get an email from Edna asking me if I'm still interested in the item. She said the other person had not responded to her so I was the next person on the list. Well lo and behold I get an email later on that evening (see below). Luckily I did some research before getting scammed by these unconscionable people. People work hard for the little bit of cash that they have and its terrible that people want to take advantage of others in this manner.
PS. I will report Edna to Craigslist but I'm sure she has many email addresses out there and will just change it up.

I replied for a free item on craigslist and someone sent me the same simliar thing as many of you received. I think its a scam. The email read something like this:
Hey,

When something seems fishy on the web I usually google some or all of the email, and if its a scam others will report it like I did today, thus saving me the hassle of being scammed. Thanks to all. You know making money in an easy way sounds good, but sometimes the easy way is fake just like now. Proverbs 13:11 in the Bible says: "Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase." That has been encouraging me to labor more dilligently now. The lottery is sinful, with the lottery many times one person wins all, at the expense of many others who suffered. Money is not evil, but the love of it is |

And still to this day the same thing is happening. I am looking for a different job or another job and when I went online to Craigslist they replied it had been filled. They said that they would keep me in mind if another position filled and could contact me. Then she said I have been making $500/week doing this below..asked me not to tell anyone else because the positions fill up fast & that her sister was going to do the same thing soon so wold appreciate me NOT telling anyone else. I always review stuff before I do anything w/my money because NO ONE can be trusted out there. It's a sick world anymore and frankly I'm sick of it. Freaking feed off the people who are looking to make just extra cash any way they can right now or just any one trying to make an extra buck...freaking ridiculous these people are! It's beyond retarded. The fact that this shows up on the NEWS -- I mean how damn retarded is that?? It's a scam but even national news casters are falling for it and then sending the world to fall for it, too. I never heard about this until this chick emailed me back. Got online, read the website, then googled some reviews hear some good but 99% bad. Not getting my money just for the job to be impossible and then never issue me a refund. Screw that. |

Okay thought I'd post something additional I just read...
This website is a scam it even says in VERY fine print at the bottom (the thing basically no one ever reads because they think it's useless on a normally LEGITIMATE website...

Just read the very end...here I'll even paste it in here in case you don't want to check it on the site...the end states this exactly:
