On the eve of 2/05/11 at 630 pm I was meeting my sister ant a restaurant with my daughter. She had told me to park in a ajoining lot as the place we were going to opnly had like 8 spots. She said she parks there all the time. We noticed a young man sitting in his car watching us walk away. We had been away from car for about 35 to 40 min. came back and my car was gone. my sisters was still in tact. parked right next to me, so they were picking and choosing cars. The young man walked up to me handed me a sheet telling me where i can retrieve my car. now mind u i know i should of not parked there. but the lot that i had to go to said they wait 20 min ad then the driver takes 20 min to get there. if that was the case they would of never towed me. They can write whatever time they want on thier invoices but i was back in that amount of time. Nor did he offer me a ride or other info on how to get to my car. It was total entrap. I actually beat the towing truck to my vehicle place they were just entering when i got there. There had been over 7 other people there in exact same situation. 210.00 later the woman behind the window was rude and was like oh well u pay or we keep your car. My daughter was so mad at how cold she was. One of the customers called the police and I had a chance to talk to them and was told to write a letter to city, that indeed they r playing towing game. planting someone in the lot to tow u as soon as u walk away. He could of said sorry u cannnot park here but did not have any intention of doing so. Had only thoght of money to be made! I think this is radiculous and a crime to charge so much for 10 min and 45 min waste of my time arguing with this lsdy behind window! Robin M a, portland oregon
