Offerwire Bridgevine Rebate Scam/ Rebate Fraud, Internet |
8th of Sep, 2011 by User710425 |
Purcased items with promise of rebates from Offerwire/Bridgevine. Submitted all required forms/receipts/UPC codes, etc (there were a lot!). Rebates deemed INVALID. Called customer support and they gave be bogus reasons for denying the rebates. Clearly a case of rebate fraud. Buyer BEWARE!! |

I got scammed by them too. Collected all the information (you are right, it was A LOT) and was still denied my rebate. Can't seem to actually find a number to speak to someone either, just some chat room where the rep repeats "I'm sorry, you were denied". They work with another company called RebatesHQ.com or this may be them under another name. I also wonder if they are colluding with providers on this, in my case AT&T.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against rebateshq.com and may file one against offerwire too. I'm not sure if they are the same company. |

I emailed the guy from the Offerwire Scam Company (Brian) because the router I got from them was defective. He put me in touch with another agent. She emailed me a form so that I could mail them my defective router. First she informed me that I should have called the company directly to get this taken care of and I let her know I made numerous attempts to do so, jumping through their myriad of hoops, and never got a response. So I printed out the return form she sent me and mailed the router back at my own expense. She told me I would get the refund on a visa debit card within 4 to 6 weeks. Two months have passed and I have not received any refund or any reply from this agent. I haven't even bothered trying to get my rebate for the modem since I think it will just be another exercise in frustration and a waste of my time. This company is fraudulent and should be put out of business. I can't believe Comcast would actually do business with them. What a scam! |

Just a correction, the guy who originally emailed me was Mark Ballard and the other person was Debbie G. I am sure they are trying their best but the company is probably not supporting their efforts to provide customer service. |
