Noyes Building Company LLC Contractor failed to complete job, lied repeatedly, verbally assaulted homeowner Georgetown, Massachusetts |
1st of Feb, 2011 by |
I hired this company to build a sunroom. At first, Bill Noyes was professional and responsive, and did very good work on the sunroom itself.
I made the mistake of trusting him, and paid him in full before he had completed the final piece of the project. He never restored the lawn in my backyard after the sunroom was built, despite repeated promises to do so. It looks like a wasteland.
In June 2010 he started outright lying to me and stopped being a reliable and trustworthy person. He showed up at my house in August and verbally assaulted me, calling me a "fckin' f*g."
Bill Noyeshas been sued at least twice in the past two years by unhappy customers, and he had to settle both cases.

This man has a problem of a personal, not professional nature. I made the mistake of allowing a friendship to develop after I completed his project. For a year and a half he was my company's single biggest advocate and supporter, including, among many other things, a testimonial on my company's website along with several pictures of his "un-restored" backyard. I ended the friendship after he called my girlfriend a word I won't repeat here. For nearly a year now he has kept up an obsessive, intimidating smear campaign against me, my company, and people I love. Sites like this, unlike the Better Business Bureau, allow personal vendettas to masquerade as a legitimate consumer complaint. I recently went to court and obtained an harassment prevention order against this man. And I am finally responding to this bogus "complaint". |

Mr. Noyes is right about several elements in his response - for a year and a half I was indeed his single biggest advocate and supporter, including, among many other things, a testimonial on his company's website along with several pictures of my finished sunroom ... but NOT the backyard, which remained unfinished and barren until I paid to have it repaired this spring. Mr. Noyes did do a superb job of building the sunroom itself. Mr. Noyes is partially right about one other thing -- that my issue with him is not just professional, but personal. When I believed that we were really friends, he and I enjoyed 70 restaurant dinners in fifty different restaurants – “Bill and Dave’s Excellent Restaurant Adventure” became the subject of a restaurant review blog – billanddavesreviews.com, now renamed daveandfriendsreviews.com. I overlooked the unrestored backyard BECAUSE I thought he was a friend, and believed him when he said was a man of his word and he promised repeatedly to take care of it. The friendship ended when I discovered that Mr. Noyes had led to me about something he knew was personally important to me... a fact that his girlfriend was only too happy to tell me, while smiling a fake smile. After that episode, I did describe her to Mr. Noyes using the words “controlling” and “manipulative” and a particularly vulgar term. But I realized that I had spoken in anger, and I was man enough to apologize to Mr. Noyes for using that offensive word. Mr. Noyes is also correct in stating that he recently obtained a temporary “no harassment” restraining order against me. The court hearing to extend the order was June 30th. I was there. Mr. Noyes failed to appear in court, and the restraining order expired at 4:00 p.m. on June 30th. Mr. Noyes did not have the decency or the courage to apologize for lying to me, for never finishing the sunroom job, or for coming into my home and calling me a "fucking fag." He should have at least been man enough to confront me face-to-face and defend his own behavior in front of a judge. I stand by my original complaint. . A liar is a liar, period. Mr. Noyes cannot be trusted, personally or professionally. |
