Northwest Home Improvement is owned by Tom Gion who is a dishonest business man operating in the Tacoma area and other parts of WA state, and apparently recently in the Portland OR area. Tom Gion's modus operandi is to over promise and not deliver as contracted. He tried this scam with me on siding and roofing contracts which were troubled from the start. He promised a certified crew of siders and once the contract was signed, a crew of illegal aliens showed up and attempted to side my house - none of them could speak English. He also sent the same type of crew to do my roof. They showed up and started tearing off the roof on my house without any protection for the siding or yard put in place. There was considerable damage to the siding, windows and the yard which was never repaired by NWHI.The vinyl siding job went "sideways" from the start as well. I was promised certified installers for Craneboard backed siding. I got a crew of unskilled, illiterates who were rude and unprofessional.I paid a professional engineer in Bellvue WA $3000 to take photos and document the issues with the NWHI work and render a report for purposes ofdemonstrating to Tom Gion the problems withhis crews.

When I confronted Tom Gion with the information provided by the professional engineering company I had hired, he became angry and started cursing me. He also filed a lien against the property. I had to threaten a legal proceeding to get himto release the lien. Further, I filed a report with the BBB in Tacoma and I see they have since expunged that report which was suppose to be permanent. His claim about having an A+ rating with the BBB is a blatant lie. Further, as a result of talking with an attorney in Tacoma regarding this situation, I found out that NWHI was not a member of the Master Builder's Association and they contacted Tom Gion and told him immediately to desist and decease from using their logo on his advertising.

NWHI represents everything that is wrong with contractors and the lack of oversight in this state. You are a fool if you even consider calling these crooks. They are dishonest, have no integrity, and corrupt. Tom Gion himself is a consummate lier and has no compunction about bilking people out of their hard earned money. He is a crook and a thief of the worst sort and needs to be put out of business permanently. I have retained every piece of evidence, photos, and information regarding the two contracts I had with this crook and will make it available to anyone whowants to see it. I am still considering a lawsuit against Tom Gion, et al for the damage and mental abuse to which I and my property were subjected.

All the decent employees who at one time worked for this company have long since left andmoved on toother places to work. As you will notice if you check out the company, the only peopleTom Gionhas working for the company are his wife and kids who are all just as dishonest and him.
