I would like to report a $13,000.00 US scam by North America Marketing and associates. I have been suspect of this company for months now, but have (foolishly) taken the advice from Dale Whitfield to just hold on and let the system work. Well it hasnt worked. Recently I started looking and found one of your scam reports #652728 from Ruth -Glenfield NY that could almost have been written by ME. It so closely resembled my experience with them. There are also other reports on yur files. I could not find any derogatory info about them in May/10 anywhere.
I sent the following email to Dale Whitfield yesterday, but have had no reply as yet. This letter pretty much explains the history I have had with them, and so for now I will let it speak for itself.
As I mention in the letter the Better Business Bureau of Denver, and the Attorney Generals office are both quite familiar with North America Marketing, and Dale Whitfield--who I believe is really the Company--he will not divulge or put me through to whoever is supposed to be the head. They are quite willing to file one more complaint against the company at my request.
In my estimation this is a BAD BAD company who phone people and prey on them--sucking all the money they can out of them, and giving them NOTHING in return. Foolishly, I believed them and am one of their suckers.
Please read the attached email that I sent to them, and judge for yourself. There is much more info that I carefully kept notes on throughout all the courting period, and curt handling when after 5 months I tried to complain Attn Dale Whitfield: (Customer Service Mgr) Nov 10/10
RE Handy 1869 During my last telephone conversation with you, I began to realize more and more that I have been dealing with fraudsters, just as another customer of yours wrote on Ripoff Report 652728. I could have written that report myself, as the information, and names (including you, and Ken Bran) were identical to my case. It appears to be your way of doing business, and scamming innocent people out of thousands of dollars. (In my case over $13,000.00 US) In fact I am more and more convinced that YOU ARE the Company. You always answer my calls, and will not divulge who the owner--or your superior officer is, let alone let me talk to them, or anyone else. Ken Bran told me that I needed outside advertising, and recommended TM who he assured me was an OUTSIDE Marketing Co.--not part of North America.... When Shelly Mitchell from T M Multimedia Marketing called me, and talked me into signing for $5,000.00 of TV Advertising, she also advised me that it was an independent company, and allayed my fears about being taken in by stating that your company were mostly 'Christians' and would never lead me down the garden path. (I explained that I am struggling to keep my wife in a nursing home and after 5 1/2 years my savings are getting depleted. At 75 yrs I have returned to working at painting, (previously Store Management Team), and was seeking less labour intensive work) I also explained this to everybody I talked to including Jabez Prudent-Sales Rep who initially phoned me about the plan-May 28/10). But SURPRISE. I have never since been able to reach Ms Mitchell, and the phone number she gave is answered by North America. (NOT part of N/A????) Other phone #'s given me are no longer operational. It seemed impossible to have any 2 way conversation with you. You call the shots with your authoritative voice, cut me off when I tried to protest, and then told me you didnt have any more time to waste talking to me. Why wouldnt I be upset and protest when I had spent over $13,000.00 US and now in almost 6 months have not had .01 cent credited to my Commissions. (I just rechecked. There are lots and lots of hits, but absolutely NO commission, in spite of the change you made after our last phone conversation that you said would remedy the situation.) I am normally a reasonable, easy going gentleman of integrity, and cannot for the life of me figure out how , with my intelligence I was taken in by this scam. But kicking myself, or verbally berating you is not going to solve the problem. I apologize if you perceive it that way. You are the only voice I can get. The only thing that will solve it is for you to have me reimbursed for the money that was taken from me under false pretenses. Ken Bran urged me to put the money on 3 credit cards, and by the second month I would have received enough to pay off the $7,000.00. (Refund Guaranteed) (That was before the $5,000.00 advertising to TM) Now, I wish to inform you that I have done quite a bit of investigating into your operation. I found out many things as I talked to the Attorney General's Dept in Denver, and the Better Business Bureau of Denver. Among them was your Address 1550 Lorimer St Suite 516---which is actually a UPS store, the fact that they are quite aware of your operation, and have had, and filed several similar complaints regarding N/A Marketing already. They, are quite prepared to take the case further IF I will file a complaint with them This service is Free of charge, and they will be happy to proceed.. I could go on and on with information that I have on file, but it would be counterproductive at this juncture. However, before taking this action I am offering you the opportunity to come clean, and refund my money as you have in other cases.
Thank you for reading this. I expect to hear from you by the end of the week or I will be proceeding with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Dept. This is not an idle threat. I am just stating what I have learned. I need my Money back. And YOU are the man who can do it. PLEASE ! I do not wish to pursue other means.
Thanks in advance Handy Brockville, Ontario Canada |
