newport news fashion/speigel will not refund/credit money for returned items , Internet

i returned over $150 worth of merchandise (due to sizing) three blouses and one jacket. THis was returned in April 2011. after several emails inquiring as to where my refund/credit to my account was, i got fed up being told there was a new systems for processing returns, all B.S. so i called today. I was told that the company that holds newport news credit card and speigel- went bankrupt. But i still have to pay for the items even tho i have been waiting for the credit to show on my bill before i pay it off. Isnt that just wonderful? they will not be refunding any money for returns processed before june 2011 i was told. then why did they accept the return? they KNEW they werent going to refund the money. they NEVER sent any thing regarding a bankruptcy. If they had i never would have ordered anything from them. Speigel just "credited" my acount on June 2. Guess what?? Im not getting that money either. total and complete LIARS and THEIFS.

I returned two pairs of pants iTo Newport News in February 2011 and despite numerous call I am out the approximately $60.00 they owe me I was assured that my refund was being processed. On today's call (06/23/2011) i was told they are in bankruptcy and will not get my money back. If I had known anything about the bankruptcy I would never have ordered anything from these cheats. And, they continue to sell merchandise -- despicable!!! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and my Attorney General's Office!

I returned a $69.00 pair of boots for Exchange, I never recieved the exchange and they still offer the boots for sale and in my size. They never sent me anything about the exchange and I have now recieved a letter notifying me of a Bankruptcy, WHY can't they send me the exchange? And how can they continue to sell merchandise? Beware!
