NCG Real Estate
NCG Real Estate LLC. Neal C.Goodwin Lack Of Professionalism. / Waiting for final payment. Raleigh, North Carolina
23rd of Aug, 2011 by User243168
On August 17th 2011, My carpet company entered into an agreement with Neal Goodwin Real Estate LLC which also manages residental properties throughout the Raleigh, Durham area. The agreement was to replace the carpet in a home that his company manages. He asked he we could bill them, I informed him since we don't have an established relationship, I would perfer company check. He asked if he could pay via credit and or debit card, I told him he could pay for his carpet by that method, but at the completion of the work, I would like a check. We both agreed. On August 20, 2011 the carpet was installed, his assistant Cooper came and signed off on the work. I asked Neal about the final balance of $973.27, he said he would have the money wired into my account. The only reason I agreed to this, was he stated that he was looking to establish a working relationship with a local company to do their carpet work. I have been doing business for over 20 years and I am familar with wire transfers. I know wire transfer take roughly about 20 minutes. He told me the bank informed him that it would take three business days. Today is the third, and still no money. I have left Neal numerous messages regarding this matter and he has failed to return any of my calls. With the advent of technology, I know he recognizes my phone number and chooses not to answer. Where the lack of professionalism comes into to play. I had my installer call him from an unfamiliar phone number, he immediately picked up. I called right back giving him the benifit of the doubt, still no answer. My suggestion to anyone considering doing business with this company, is to go with a more professional company. In this economy people can't afford to be taken advantage of. My company provided a service, we expect to be compensated. My only other option is to file a lien on the property. I am sure he charged the owner of the home more than what the cost was. He made his money.
