I took my dog to Natural Groomers on Thurssday the 28th of April. I wanted to get him washed and shaved. He arrived there around 1pm and they said they would call when he was finished. At 5:30pm I had yet to receive a call. Upon calling them I was told he had been ready for quite some time and was just stuck in a cage until I could come get him. I asked why I was not informed that he was ready, and they had no good reason as to why they didnt call me. When I went to pick him up, they wanted payment before I could see him. Ten minutes later I still had not seen my dog. They had lost his collar and were searching for it. I asked them to get my dog for me before they continued searching for his collar. I picked him up and was holding him when I noticed my hand was full of blood. They had cut his so deeply into his nail bed that it was squirting blood. I ran into the back and told them what was going on. They didnt seem to care that my animal was squirting blood everywhere or that they had caused his pain. It took another 15 min for them to "fix" him up. They handed him back to me once more, and he was still bleeding quite a bit. While they were "fixing" him I had asked to wash the blood of my hands, I was ignored. One of the employees brought me a towel to wipe the blood off, I was not even shown the courtesy of being allowed to use a sink. The second time they took him back to stop the bleeding, they were gone at least another 10 minutes. I was left standing yet again with blood all over my hands. When I asked to wash my hands for the second time, I was told to hold on! I was given another towel to wipe my hands on and then they brought my dog to me, the bleeding had finally subsided and I asked them for something to put around his foot in the event that he starting bleeding again on my leather seats. They said he would not bleed anymore, but I insisted on them wrapping something around his foot. They were extrememly rude and unprofessional. The day before my aunts mother had taken her dog there to get him groomed and they almost severed his penis off. The poor dog can hardly walk. These people obviously have no business working with animals, as they are careless and unattentive. I would highly recommend that they no longer be allowed to operate this business, seeing as how they are so clearly unqualified to treat animals humanely! |
