| "Custom made handbags generally take 5 to 8 weeks" is what Carrie Carmichael claims for production time on her handbags. She also says that lead times may exceed that time frame due to "logistics," and that's what she'll throw back at you when you demand to know where your handbag is after *four months*. But a disclaimer like that doesn't count when the merchant has already told you that she's shipped your order! Here's a breakdown of what happened to me: 1) I ordered the bag 2) A month later, I asked for a status update since there had been no news at all after I placed the order. I was told the handbags usually take much longer than that, and she didn't want to ask the manufacturer for updates because "he gets really irritated with me". I'm not kidding. That's what she said. 3) Two months after the order date, still no handbag. I had to contact her to find out why, and there was some sort of manufacturing error that she neglected to tell me about. It meant I'd have to wait for a replacement. But wait! There's more! The manufacturer was out of town! So I'd have to wait even longer! 4) Three months after the order date, you guessed it. No handbag. I'm given more excuses but eventually, after emailing her multiple times, I'm told that she has shipped it. She promised me a tracking number, too, but I never got one, not even after I asked repeatedly. 5) Almost four months after the order date... wait for it... No handbag! I bet you're surprised. As surprised as I am to hear it was returned to her for a bad address and she had already reshipped it. The handbag still hasn't arrived. I requested a refund and got no response. After searching around, I found another couple of complaints about her that were exactly my situation. This is a $350 loss for me (though not if my credit card dispute goes through). I don't know what really happened, but I'm pretty sure I'm not getting my order. Please think twice before ordering. If you're willing to risk it, then get everything in writing. |

| I experienced the same way. That woman is a scammer. Very unprofessional. Shame on you carrie ella, you will not succeed in your business if you are not true to your clients. |

These reports are slanderous and unfounded posted by competition. If you did not receive your handbag I would have been notified by credit card company that the alleged charge was being disputed.
I have never received disputes or any notifications from The Better Business Bureau
Furthermore, there is a disclaimer on our web boutique that Italian made custom bags may exceed the general time frames and lead times are not guaranteed due to the custom nature and logistics involved with the bags being handcrafted overseas.
We take pride at My Dreambag for our exceptional customer service and the superior craftsmanship of our products! Our company had a record breaking year with hundreds of delighted customers including celebrity clients.
If a bag exceeds the quoted lead time, due to factors beyond my control I do my best to compensate my clients with complimentary accessories and such.
I have lists of testimonials from raving fans and great press if you google My Dream Bag or Carrie Ella Handbags.
I find it interesting that both of these comments are anonymous. If your are legitimate clients, please contact me directly or reveal who you are. If you do not, shame on you!

As a business owner, it pains me to see all sorts of businesses being slammed on this website called ComplaintsBoard.com . Sure it has become a really popular avenue for consumers to vent their frustrations on businesses who have done them wrong.
But… the scary part is that vicious competitors are now using this vehicle to slander other legitimate businesses.
I have seen so many fake-sounding complaints about businesses on this website. Where is their sense of decency?

Dont Believe Everything you Read!!!
I have been a customer of My Dreambag Boutique for many years and now have 4 gorgeous bags that were custom made for me. I have had to wait beyond the average 8 week production time twice...but the wait was well worth it. Try to find a company that will customize an Italian leather bag for you at the price point this company offers...impossible! I had the pleasure of visiting My Dreambag Boutique and Carrie Ella Carmichael the founder and designer was delightful and gave me excellent service!
