Law Office
Law Office of James Parker threatening phone calls alpine, California
7th of Apr, 2011 by User270449
This foriegn guy call me at my place of business, (american name) asking me if I had an attorney. I asked him what this was in regards to and he proceeded to tell me.....
A payday loan company is pressing charges against you and the sherriffs office is on their way to you job to place you under arrest. When I told him that I have had calls from people like him before and that I do have a lawyer, he hung up on me. I then called him back to get the name of this company, in which he told me, LAW OFFICES OF JAMES PARKER, and then asked who I was and I told him. He stated, why are you calling back, the police should be there any time. I told him that I needed the information for my lawyer and that to make sure that the police had the correct address because I needed to file charges as well. He then hung up on me again. I then called back twice and the first time I was immediatley hung up on (not a word said, just picked up the phone and put it back down). The second time I called, they thought they hung up on me again, but they didn't disconnect me. From there, I sat on the phone, listening to all of them in the backround, laughing and talking about how they had ths person thinking that the police were coming to take them to jail, and how they just got this person to give them the money. And the whole time, they are laughing and having a good old time because they just SCAMMED someone. I feel sorry for the person they got the money from, because in all honesty, what I heard going on, this poor person didn't owe anyone anything. Someone needs to put a stop to this NOW. And I hope I can help be a part of that. I have had a few different companies like this try to get me, but this is the first I have been able to "seceretly" listen to what is actually going on when they are NOT on the phone with a victim. I SO WISH I WAS ABLE TO RECORD THAT!!! WOuld have been awesome evidence!!!

The same thing happed to me except i fell for it not 24 hrs latter i called the federal trade commotion when the loan that they said i had was not paid. Now these people are using the name of a real online payday loan company as a front to get your money. back to the FTC when i called them I told them what happed and the lady informed me that i had been scammed. I also did some reacherch and it looks like these people are getting victims information from the online payday loan brokers. I don't know if the brokers are in on it or if these thieves are pretending to be a payday loan company themselves. but it is on several other sites that that is where they get all the information from.. The long story short is that now i am out the money and frustrated and idk where to go from here. the moral of this story is if you get a call from these people just hang up and call the FTC they said the more complaints they have the more likely it is something to get done.
