MSN Auto Sales & Service Micheal Stanley Fraudulent Car Dealership and Owner Richmond Virginia |

I rented a car from this dealer because he advertised no credit card required. I gave him cash, he gave me a reciept. When I picked up the car Mr. Stanley (the owner/employee)said the car was full of gas and I must return it the same way. Well, the car was only at 1/4 tank. When I brought it to his attention before I pulled off he said that the needle was broke but insisted it had a full tank of gas. He claimed he had filled it up himself. I drove to Virginia beach which is only about 64 miles from the business and the car was knocking and shaking terribly when I accelerated pass 40 miles an hour and then I ran out of gas on I64. When I called back to the business to tell him that the car was knocking and shaking he said, "Oh, my bad, my machanic was supposed to check on that", then, I told him that the fuel gauge must have been working becuase it is now blinking on empty. He said, "well I thought it was broke" So, I said, then you have to acknowlege that it was at 1/4 tank. He agreed. I told him I was bringing the car back and wanted another car. I took the car back and he gave me a newer car and I was on my way. After the rental period (weekend) was over, I returned the car and he has refused to give me my deposit back. When I tried to take him to court he presented to the court that he was not the correct person to be sued stating he is only an employee. The court would not hear my case stating I had sued the wrong person. Well, Michael Stanely is a liar, his incorporation status was terminated in 3/2009 and listed his wife Nia F. Stanley as the registered agent. He has not returned my rental deposit and I'm seeking other legal avenues. I've just found out he is listed as an independent dealer and does not have a license to rent cars. |

I am sorry that you have went through this with this gentleman. I too have been taken by this crook of a sales person. I bought my very first vehicle from him Feb. 2010 and he did all types of things to sell me the car from placing a fraudulent inspection sticker on the car, to claiming he paid close to $700.00 in repairs, to selling a car that wouldn't even pass inspection, and his wife is an idiot and naive she believes everything. Unfortunately he is aware of the laws in Virginia that do not protect the consumer which is why he sells shitty cars in VA and he's from PA. i've tried every venue to seeking an attorney to reporting to every gov't agency in va but to no avail. Unfortunately i totaled my vehicle and the car insurance didnt' cover the full amount because he didnt tell me that the car had a salvage title. The only thing he has against him is karma. Good luck. |
