The Condo Travel club called our home at least a dozen times in response to a drawing at and RV show. Each time we told them NO THANK YOU. Finally, we thought we would see what their FREE travel offers were about. We thought we'd listen to a seminar and get a free trip. We sat through a well orchestrated presentation. After filling out a questionaire, they sat us down with a woman who told us "oh I'm from that area too". She played a game that so that she could develop a rapport with us. Later we found out from other "customers", that the person that sat down will also had things in common with them. Then came the slide show presentation stating that if we bought into the condo travel club we would get huge discounts on cruises, condos and hotels. They did a hard sell and we bought into it, boy did we buy into it. We paid $3,000 and 9 months later still cannot get anything they have promised. We were given a voucher for a trip for two to Vegas. We had to send in the voucher with a validation deposit of $50. Then we received a certificate that told us to call for an available date. Over several months I had to keep calling to get an available date. Today, nine months later they have said they have an available date. In two weeks, I will receive a certicate that will instruct me to send in another $95 which is to cover taxes. At this point, I do not know if I will get anything. As far as the travel club discounts we were supposed to get; We paid last March. We were given our contract and was told that we would be sent additional instructions. They waited so that our 5 day waiting period was up so that we could not cancel before giving further details. After a week, they sent us a club card with instructions to get into their website. Once into the website we can view a list of vacations and cruises. That's where it ends. The vacations and cruises listed are NOT discounted. Most cases it's much cheaper on Expedia or Travelocity. Let's say we decide to take one of their more expensive trips, there is no way to take a trip. Pulaski Travel tells us that we are our own agent and that we have to do the work to get the discounts, but they won't show us how to schedule a vacation. They give you a calendar of training dates. We have to drive 30 miles to these training dates and have gone to two of them. Niether of which have told us anything. The woman that teaches the classes will say "well you have to take this class to do that". So we have to wait for the next scheduled class only to be told to take yet another class. The condo travel club and Pulaski travel do nothing but double talk. They don't respond to emails. We leave messages with the girl at the front desk, but messages are NEVER answered. |
