Mr. Mover damaged belongings, slow to move a 1600 sq.ft house ,paid per hour, unprofessional Arlington , Texas
26th of Oct, 2011 by User489165
DO NOT USE MR. MOVE!! To begin with, Josh at the Keller location said they would call and confirm once we got closer to the moving date. That call never came so I called them and he sounded as if he was caught off guard about my appointment. Finally got that straightened out. Movers showed up 30 minutes past the window they were supposed to arrive and we were so skeptical. The one taller mover with dark hair named Steve kept complaining about the other guy, who would be hanging outside sometimes when I would go check on him. Even if they are just movers, they were SUPER unprofessional! They were SO SLOW!!!! Our house was only 1638 sq. ft----EVERYTHING was packed and ready and a majority our stuff was in storage and in the garage---neither of which they EVER TOUCHED (more to come on that). So here we are, two moving guys AND my husband moving a 1638 sq ft house----it took 5 hours (part-way through my husband had to stop helping to take care of things at our new home). My husband alerted me to the damage to our new-ish stainless steel fridge (we have had i about ayear now). They had scratched the handles, the side, there were dents across the front and the drawers on the bottom also had damage. When I aksed them why they weren't more careful I got blank stares. I then asked why they didn't COVER it when taking it through the doors and the slow guy said "because we don't do that"!!!! I asked him what we were supposed to do about it and he told me that we (we meaning my husband and I) could "get new handles"!! My husband asked them to leave well before we were done...we still had the garage and storage unit to empty....5 hours, FIVE, cinco horas, it took these fools to move us and still didn't complete the job--over $500 we spent!! Get to new house---a chair leg is scratched to hell, doorway in old house is damaged, fridge damaged. After filing the claim for fridge and chair....they send me the settlement of $156!!!!!! The fridge is an LG stainless steel, side-by-side, with two freezer drawers on bottom---$2000 and they want to give us $156 for that AND a damaged dining room chair. Supposedly their insurance only covers $.60/per lb. Even if that is the crappy policy, we would be owed $215 for the fridge! Oh which by the way, is discontinued and we can't replace the doors. According to the BBB "On 10/25/2011 the accreditation was suspended due to failure to respond to one or more customer complaints filed with the BBB. The matter will be reviewed by BBB's Board of Directors at its next meeting". Google scams in Florida and you will see the SAME complaints! Stephen is the manager in Arlington, hard to get in touch with, voicemail was full yesterday--professional isn't it? Jason Svadeba looks to be the owner and he is located in Florida; trying to reach him, we will see how that goes. DO NOT use them!! shame on me for trying to save money! Erin P Fort Worth, TX.
