I called to cancel my service, not one of the numbers on my contract or on the internet had my account info. We had connection issues for MONTHS, the FC (FAILURE OF COMMUNICATIONS) was going on and off on and off. The Security service they use to respond is not only HOURS LATE in an alarm but I get the dirty, unkempt, shirt tails hanging out smart ass security guard that comes to my door HOURS after I fell back asleep to see if we were alive. In my humble opinion security monitoring is only good for one thing, FIRES and or Carbon Monoxide. Waiting for a 300 year old security "like" guard to respond is a waste of money. Since this was my first experience with an "Alarm Response" service I am LESS than happy. For months I was wondering what is the FC code and beep that keeps popping up was, guess what THEY WERE NOT MONITORING MY HOUSE! They NEVER called me to find out why there were connection issues and when I called them they had no record of my account, PATHETIC. The only way I got them to find my account info was to stop the auto payments and guess what - they called. They disgust me, as a soldier and consumer they are at the bottom of the food chain. Had they not canceled my contract I would have contacted the Attorney General's Office consumer protection division in their state to have them investigate, fortunately they relented and cancelled my contract. Moral to the story my little Droogies is don't go with Monitronics, and do online REVIEWS with whatever company you decide to go with. Do this BEFORE you let a salesman into your kitchen with the deal you can't refuse. Tell them you will get back with them tomorrow after YOU check THEM out. Three to Five years is a long time to have a company take 40 bucks a month for exceptionally poor or non-existent service - stop the problem BEFORE it happens. Peace |
