I recently received a fruit basket from Harry and David. The nuts were stale, the fruit blemished, the contents certainly not worth the $ 40 price. I wrote to them to complain; they replied that they could offer me a replacement, a gift card or a refund. I wrote back that I wanted a refund, that I was not satisfied with their product. They in turn replied that they were sending me a replacement, and the assurance that their guarantee stood behind their products. I wrote back again, telling them that I did not want their product, and to please send me a refund. They replied that they were sending a replacement. Their guarantee and their first response offered a refund; they are evidently not willing to follow through on their words.
