January 2010 the apartment complex put the payment responsibility of all utilities on the tenants. The charges are not based on individual usage. Instead, all like tenant have their utilities totaled and supposedly divided equally. I live in a one bedroom apartment and rarily turn on the heat or air. Still I pay as much as my co-worker who lives in a three bedroom house with a husband and two children. The monthly total for water is more than my parents pay for their four bedroom, three occupant house. Sounds suspicous to me. I was even told to pay my bill on line is an additional $3.00. I spoke with a customer service rep to complain about the additional fee. I was informed that the fee is not profit for them. It is a managment fee, which is BS to me. My $3.00 is going into someone else's pocket other than my own. This is the last year I plan to stay at this complex. The rent increased, when is should not have since the greedy owners are no longer paying for utilities, they were already making out like fat cats. Tha is so typical for greedy people. They never have enough. I hope lot's more people move out. We can all do better than this.
