Mike Carlson Motor Company MCMC, High Interest Car Loans: Buyer Beware Burleson, , Texas |

In case you’ve tried to find this company under MCMC or MCMCauto.com on Better Business Bureau’s website you won’t find it, it’s listed under Mike Carleson Motor Company, and only their main business so if you have a problem with one of their other locations you have to file in under the one in Burleson. I’ve listed the link to BBB here so you won’t have to search for it. http://www.bbb.org/fort-worth/Business-Reviews/auto-dealers-used-cars/mike-carlson-motor-company-in-burleson-tx-75040006/ This company has TWO primary businesses, one is selling used cars, but the second and probably more profitable enterprise is HIGH INTEREST car loans. Let’s face it, if you’re buying a car here you’re NOT doing so because they have good cars, you’re there because they’ll give you a loan and they might be the only place you can get one, because as most know it takes 7 to 10 years to create a really good credit rating but only 30 to 60 days to destroy it. So if you’ve ever been divorced, lost a job, etc… you may find yourself talking to these guys so get ready. They're the largest privately owned used car dealer in the Metroplex and they didn't get there by selling "quality" used cars. They buy their cars at auction lots like most used car dealers so there’s no telling what the car has been through, CarFax or any other vehicle history report will only tell you the big stuff, like wrecks, etc… you might get lucky and get a car in good shape, you might not, there’s a good chance they won’t know how bad off it is until you start complaining and they’re in the driver’s seat because it’s not very likely you’re going to have your family attorney ring them up if you’re doing business with them to start with. Since you’ve given them every piece of personal, financial and family history during the loan process, if for some reason, God forbid, you miss a payment, they’re going to know all the possible locations you might be able to hide the vehicle as well as all the people they can call as a collection agency would to make sure they can ruin your day at least once, EVERY DAY, because that’s how bill collectors work. They have some in house bill collecting but once it passes a point they’re going to flip it over to a company called Lenders Recourse Repossession and Recovery Service located at: 12751 Triple H Dr Burleson, TX 76028 (817) 572-5591. That way when things turn nasty their main company is insulated. The longer you pay on the car the more likely they'll come looking for it if you miss a payment, you may be lulled into a false sense of security initially by them being over supportive if you've had difficulties, but once they've reached a break even or what ever their pure profit point is they're going to come looking for you. When I first had a run in with these guys I noticed I started getting a large number of wrong numbers during regular business hours, then the odd research survey types calls after hours, then the calls from clearly bogus numbers as well as the automated “how’d you like you’re your car servicing†out of Las Vegas: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm is for filing complaints for calls to your cell phone, cell phones have the added benefit of more governing rules so if all of a sudden you start getting calls at all hours from research companies, telemarketers in Las Vegas, etc… track them in your journal and report them. You may not be able to tell who they’re really coming from but the FCC can.
