Midas Tried to grossly over charge me for items under warrenty until I called my boyfriend Ann Arbor, Michigan

In April, I first brought my vehicle into Midas to get my brakes repaired and I received new brake pads, rotors and a $350 bill. In November, I then started to date a new guy and later he said that my brakes were squeaking already and I said that I had just gotten them fixed in April. My boyfriend and I both went to Midas again, luckily my boyfriend know about cars and did all off the talking to the "mechanic" and found out that the pads and rotors were worn down and needed to be replaced again. The "mechanic" said that it was because my rear brakes needed to be adjusted luckily my boyfriend knew that the front brakes were responsible for most of the braking and the "mechanic" indicated he checked them on the last visit. Luckily, this time I paid nothing and got everything under warranty because I had a male with me. Then the brakes started to go out a third time after 10 months and I had to take it in without my boyfriend. A new "mechanic" called me back and I could see on his quote that it was $750 and I stopped him right there and said I cannot pay that hell no, you are out of your damn mind! The pads and the rotors were bad a third time and still under warranty and I called my boyfriend immediately while he was at work. I gave the phone to the mechanic and my boyfriend told them that everything is under warranty and it's was their crappy parts that were going bad. My bill went from $750 to $250, magically. If you are female, have a male friend, brother, father go in for you! They will charge you so much more if you are female, they have horrible business practices and use crappy parts.
