Mid Atlantic Waterproofing Aggravating Internet |

Mid Atlantic Waterproofing promised us many things for our basement and not one was fully followed through with. When the salesman came to our house (we had only owned the home for a month) he seemed to know exactly what he was talking about and how his system was so much better than all other systems. He wasn't pushy at first but then just continually pushed and pushed and the price just continued to drop. We agreed to go with them. He promised us they didn't contract their guys out and that work would be done professionally and respectfully. When confirming our appointment for the guys to come out we were told they would work 8-4 both days. Day one came and the contractors showed up at 9 A.M., and only 1 of them spoke English (not very well I might add). He told us if we needed to tell them anything we would have to tell him and then he would relay the message to the guys. When they arrived we told them that our dryer was a gas dryer and that it could not be pulled to far from the wall without having to shut the gas off, we had to yell for them to stop pulling the dryer so they didn't pull the gas line out. They covered everything up...semi decent and began their work. Four o clock rolled around and we were expecting them to come get us to tell us they were done for the day....wrong! They continued to jackhammer in our basement until 7 P.M. End of day 1 we went to close our outside basement door (newly installed) and found that because they had jackhammered right in front of the door, it had shifted and barely shut. When the guys came back, they didnt get here until almost 10 A.M., we asked them about the door and they acted as if they had no idea what we were talking about. We called Mid Atlantic themselves to express our concern about the door and spoke to a very rude manager who was more concerned with rushing us off the phone. The system was fully installed day 2 by 4 P.M. and we went downstairs to check it out, crooked pieces on our wall, caulk coming undone...already. We have 2 partition walls in our basement seperating the laundry/work side from the side soon to be finished...apparently the jackhammer got away from the guys because our wall was all dinged up and they ripped a piece of the baseboard off. The "covering" they put over all our stuff to prevent dust from getting on our stuff was a joke to say the least. Everything has a thick layer of dust all over it, they left our yard a mess after day 1, I could continue to go on. I would not recommend Mid Atlantic for any waterproofing project! |
