First Part: The Call The Company MAG, Inc. has a secretary searching the web and looking for applicants. She uses different job hunt web pages like monster.com. In my case her name was Jessica. Youll receive a call giving you the opportunity to be part of a growing marketing company related to sports. Jessica will give you or send you an e-mail with an address (4651 Sheridan Street, Unit 301, Hollywood, FL 33021) and ask when you can come in. In the e-mail I noticed something odd. The name of the guy I have to talk with is only Carl. No last name at all, just Carl. I know now why, they dont want you to know his last name. While I was on the field; my wife did a quick web search for his name after I gave it to her while waiting on the reception the day before and found this: http://www.ripoffreport.com/employment-services/global-inc/global-inc-prizm-marketing-248ca.htm If you Google Carl Foss you will see why they omitted it. What pops on Google is not good for Mr. Foss reputation if you ask me. Anyhow, at the day of the interview, Jessica will call you back to confirm that you are coming in. Second Part: The Interview When you arrive at the place the first thing youll notice is a big screen TV with ESPN on all day long. It was fun for me because I saw some insane Blake Griffin dunks. Anyways, Jessica will be there and she will give you a simple form to fill out while you wait for Carl. I saw more people waiting as well and I start thinking is game time, let get this job. My interview was insanely fast and way too simple. This guy Carl seems to be in a hurry and talked to me super fast. My first impression was: they have too much work and thats why they have so many applicants and thats also why theyre rushing. Makes sense! He asked me if Im ok doing presentations and if I can work Saturdays. He also said something about starting training for who knows how long and to show up tomorrow morning to get a feeling of the job. Sound like a plan! Third Part: The Job 8:45 am, ready to go and anxious about what to expect. I showed up and Carl is there. After all the polite good mornings he asked me: Did you bring your walking shoes? WTF! Walking what? Really, Im going to walk now. Why didnt you tell me this before? At this point Im almost out the door but I remembered some old advice from my mother and I decided to stay, walk and see wtf is this all about. Carl presented me to a boy named Fidel Nuez. Ok, imagine like a high school, fat, short, brainwashed, ignorant Dominican that thinks hes in a great company because they wear ties, training someone who has 2 bachelors degree, married and with real responsibilities. Anyhow, we went downstairs and he asks: Wheres your car? My wft!? Yes people, Mr. Carl tells them to use your car to get to the place youll be starting to walk. WTF! Really! I asked him: Wheres your car? He answered: Its getting fix. Ah! Well thats convenient! The job is simple, door to door sales. Going to lawyers, banks, doctors, dentists and any other offices asking if they want to buy the special promotion you have for them. Thats it! You dont need any training for this! This is just explaining the promotion of the day and hoping for a sale. They dont give you any business cards or anything helpful for the sales. Just, go tell them, and hope you sell one or two. I saw how people bought this package out of petty for this kid. He was so excited about it that I ended up in the same pettiness feeling. I tried to help the kid, I knew I was not going to make any money today plus he looked so dumb. I wanted to tell him the truth and open his eyes. So, I used simple mathematics, explain how with a normal minimum wage job he can make more money instead of this slave forsaken job. No luck. Apparently, he is convinced that when he grows within the company he can eventually own is personal office and drive a Maserati just like Carl Foss. Carl Foss conveniently omitted details about the job, never said it was about sells and never said anything about walking miles every day. He created an illusion of a sport marketing job because he knows people will not work for him under these slavering conditions. Fidel told me, hell pay you a commission from what you sold after 11 hours. I asked how much of a percentage and the dumb kid tells me that its different for each employee. It depends on your experience. WTF! Thats ridiculous. After the 11 hours of walking and asking only one person on each place he entered, Fidel and the dumb people working for Carl come back to the office around 6:30 and stay there even longer, maybe more brainwash sessions. Only God knows why. If you sell nothing you get cero. 11+ hours of your life gone so you can start all over again tomorrow at 7:30 am. Please people be aware of this is a scam because they dont tell you how things really are. Carl Foss is just getting richer over the slaves he finds and brainwash. |
