Nu Cen-tury
Nu Cen-tury Inc I WAS ROBBED $7000 FOR A GSA PROCESS THAT NEVER HAPPENED! NUCEN-TURY INC ARE CROOKS! Tampa, Florida
6th of Jan, 2011 by User899244
I hired Nu Cen-tury Inc to get me a federal GSA for my small business. I paid nearly $7000 for this service, and after several months, I have not seen anything, except paperwork that I am supposed to fill out, which I did, and for no results! They market themselves as a wing of the government who can get you set up with GSA contracts working for the federal department. But they are actually a private organization who cares more about taking small businesses' money, than actually providing any services. They are nearly impossible to get a hold of, and when you do get a hold of them, it's always a different person, and when I ask to speak with whomever I spoke with last time, I am told they are no longer working for them. This has happened on more than one occasion, and probably would have happened a lot more if they actually answered any of my phone calls or emails on a regular basis!

They always act like they have my interests in mind, but that's cause they already took me for $7000 dollars and I am now demanding a refund, which of course they cannot do because they have already given me their services, time, effort, or whatever they think they have given me! If you need a GSA, go anywhere, ANYWHERE, but Nu Cen-tury Inc! They are clearly a ponzi scheme. If you are already working with them, then I suggest pull out now, demand a refund, and never look back. You will not get anywhere or anything from them except debt. They are preying on small businesses to take them for what they are worth. They are probably not even American citizens, because I cannot imagine an American doing this to American small businesses, especially in this difficult recession. Avoid NuCen-tury Inc like the plague!

Hi, this is Kevin Chace, the CEO and founder of Nu Cen-tury Inc. and I would be glad to answer that question. Yes, of course Nu Cen-tury is a real company. We have been in business for more than a year, and in that brief time we have helped numerous companies navigate the difficult process of submitting a GSA application. Dozens of our clients have been awarded GSA Contracts and we have hundreds more pending, many of whom will be awarded in the next several weeks. And we offer more than just GSA preparation. We offer a variety of services to meet your needs in the Government Market.

So no, we are NOT a scam. Unfortunately we have been dragged through the mud by another company(ies) that has engaged in a disinformation campaign designed to confuse and frighten the public. We won’t engage in that behavior and always prefer to take the high road.

Not only are we NOT a scam, but we offer a specific program to help those businesses that have been scammed by our competitors! We offer the GSA Rescue program where we take businesses that have gotten ripped off by someone else in the business and then “save” their investment. So if someone can verify that they’ve been ripped off or scammed, Nu Cen-tury Inc. will finish and process your GSA application for HALF PRICE (1/2) of our normal fee! Just go to www.nucen-tury.com/gsarescue.html

And in conclusion to this question, I can summarize the position of Nu Cen-tury Inc. with the following quote from Abraham Lincoln:

"We should be too big to take offense and too noble to give it." Abraham Lincoln

We've all found ourselves traveling down the low road at one time or another. You know the road. It's the one filled with nitpicking and faultfinding. The road packed with sniping and backbiting. The road fraught with sadness and despair, crammed to the hilt with negative comments and spiteful remarks.

It's a road where trashing your friends is an everyday occurrence. It's a road where besmirching your enemies is common practice. It's a road where regularly defaming people we hardly know is widely accepted.

It's a pathetic, pitiful, pothole riddled road.

I was directed to this website by one of my employees who knew that in 2010 we had contracted this company to process our GSA submission. She sent me this link and asked me what I thought, should we stop using this company in the future? It was an important question. We already received our GSA Contract but now we're using them for marketing.

Our business with this company goes back to the summer of 2010 and they called us out of the blue seeing if we were interested in government contracts. I reluctantly got on the phone figuring I'd be off in two minutes. Guess I was in a good mood that day. But the phone call wasn't what I expected. Iit wasn't the usual bull I got from other companies pushing GSA schedules. And believe me, these guys werent the only ones who called me. I must have got 7-8 phone calls from different companies the past two years. Seriously some of these guys are pushy and full of it, but this company was different, more human.

I drove the account rep crazy with questions but she never got impatient and really took her time to explain everything. I think the great part was that she didnt oversell. In fact she was kinda discouraging me at times asking me if my company could really handle the responsibility of taking on government contracts. Well this went back and forth for a couple weeks and I decided it made sense to do it on our own rather than use this company, or any company for that matter.

Well that didn't last long. The girl who works for me went nuts trying to figure out all the bull the gsa wants in the application. After about a week she was ready to quit and she's a damn good employee! So I bit the bullet and called nucenturies again. And they were nice about it. Didn't raise the price on me even though I'd driven them nuts, but they did have a few laughs at our expense for giving up on doing it ourselves.

I paid them to produce and submit our application. That still wasn't an easy process. You got a lot of stuff to give them and the Dunn and Bradstreet stuff was a pain in the butt, but they were real helpful and there processors did a good job. After less than a month we had the whole deal ready to go and they submitted it to gsa.

The waiting drove me nuts. The government is slow as hell but thats not anyone's fault. Just the way things are. After about four months we finally got notice of something we ended up calling the negotiations. Basically you have a threeway phone call with your account rep for this company and the officer from GSA to go over prices and details of the contract. I was worried about this part because they wanted me to lower prices which I had already made really low. But we played a little hardball in the negotiations and it worked. I think this company has a pretty good relationship with the people from GSA so I guess that didnt hurt in the negotiations.

Soon after they called us and notified us that we were approved! So now we're on schedule but not really sure of how to go about getting contracts. So I called this company and said what now? They gave me over to a different account rep who specializes in marketing to the government. I ended up on the phone with this guy for about 90 minutes!

I understood after that. Getting a gsa schedule wasn't enough. We needed to put ourselves in a position to be noticed otherwise we wouldnt succeed and it would be a waste of money. I could hire fulltime people to do my own marketing or I could hire someone. And since this company treated me right in the application process I decided to stay with them for the marketing.

Its only been a few months but so far so good. They have showed me how to locate the bids that made sense for our company. And the business is starting to come in. Nothing huge yet but its happening and building up.

So I'm not letting this bull report keep me from a business relationship with this good company. They have always treated me right and I think other businesses out there need to know the facts rather than what's claimed in the original report here.

The fact is that this company is not dishonest. Quite the opposite. They produce what they claim and are still doing it for my business.
