McDonalds employment, fraud, discrimination Berwyn, Illinois |

This is just a short report regarding McDonald's on Ridgeland Ave in Berwynl, IL. I'm just tired of companies walking all over me when it comes to trying to find jobs. I do everything right and they still give me the run around. I applied to McDonalds about two weeks ago and then came in to the McDonald's about two days later to see if my application had gone through, they told me it hadn't but that my application might be backed up into the computer system. So then I went online AGAIN and checked it AGAIN, but it said "we are sorry your application has already been processed, it will stay in the system for up to six months." That's what it said, so I went back to McDonald's and then the one manager there (it was a woman) told me I could have a interview anyways and then in the meantime she can try to find my application, because surely it had to be somewhere in the system, as I called the McDonald main corporation number and they told me all applications go directly to the McDonald's that I applied for. I had my interview for the following Monday and I went in, well it turns out they had me waiting for up to three hours until one of them said that the main manager wasn't going to be in and that I had to show up the next day. I am beginning to get frustrated now but told them calmly that I will be in the next day. So I came in the next day, which was Tuesday (which happens to be today) and I was sitting there again for up to an hour for only another manager to come out and tell me the exact same thing, it was a different lady and she told me to come in NEXT Monday and then she'll check on my application. But that's what I've been told the week before and this week now, so hmmm.. can anyone say shady pattern? OK so whomever is reading this, does this seem like the old familiar run-around? I am trying to be patient at finding a job but its so hard when its a fairly common practice for corporations to generally give you the run around, even if you know you are a perfectly good worker. It seems unfair because I have a roof over my head but I'm bound to be homeless because I decided to go to school thinking it was going to give me a good job but it never panned out that way. It seems unfair that I shall remain almost near homeless while everyone else get's paid and goes about their day when I know I am a good worker but it seems like its getting hard. |
