The first set of calls was from CBS or My Choice Business Services. For $295.00 you got an "agent number" that allows you to sell their credit card processing services. You are to "qualify" processing volume and set a time for the call. They are to call and close. You get a commission and residual. In addition you can sell land bank services, etc. You did get a "cookie cutter" site (monthly fees required) and a generic pattern for business cards, downloadable information. At least on that part they sent something. I gave them a few leads, one ready to buy, they contacted me and said they called. I spoke to the very interested person and he said they never did. In addition while on the phone the sales person from CBS tried to sell me on becoming an affiliate for some "lotions and potions" of some type with lots of hyped claims of cars he won etc. Months later I got a call from someone who said they were a marketer for them and he said he was standing in line for his final paycheck, I had been ripped off and the police were going to arrest the owner. I never heard from them again. Within a day or two after signing up with CBS/My Choice Business Services, I received a call from a company that later became known to me as Matrix Marketing (they were gray in explanation and at one time said Matrix only did the billing, later they stated they were representing a company "showads" or similar and would do the calling and closing if I just bought the leads) My first contact was Tom Benson who provided a personal address, phone number etc that cross matched on the web. He called many many times and spoke with me at length (even prayed with me on the phone!) He said he would pay for $5000.00 worth of leads to "prove" they were legit and so I could get the biggest package-Duh should have tipped me off. He clearly stated that they were not affiliated with My Choice Business Services (eventually) When I still balked due to lack of clear information I got a call from a Jason Richards, then I worked with Brad Thorn, then Pete Nice. Jason Richards was supposed to be the highest in charge and seemed to check out on the net. At one point I even tried to stop the payments and allowed myself to be talked into allowing them to go forward. (I have no idea where I got such a huge dose of stupid) Out of this I have a disc (after much fussing) of leads (which appeared legit as I checked about 10 percent of them), I did not get a working back office-later they said it was not available for the package I bought (their largest at the time), I did not get the names of the representatives calling as I was told there would be 3 assigned and I would know who and get regular updates in my back office and get a copy of the script and information on services sold. I have received two call updates only. The last said 4 were about to close. That was well over a month ago. They have not responded to my last two emails. I have received no money whatsoever. Tonight I received a call from another company that wants to "help". They said they are consultants for CBS/Matrix. So far they haven't asked for money. They will call tomorrow night. Even though they have a web presence and are not listed on ripoff report, I have a bad feeling about this and keep practicing the word "no". I feel so depressed and stupid. I will be working multiple jobs and paying for this for most of the rest of my life. Please do not allow yourself to fall into this trap. Its like you are in a whole other world after speaking to them night after night. It starts to sound reasonable. You set aside your concerns or they explain them away or direct you to sites that seem legit and check out. Arizona has defunded their fraud investigations units etc, they cannot help you. Once you receive something, even something worthless, you are had. I changed all my credit card numbers and I have had to negotiate a few of them because of this. I have a credit tracker and freeze on my credit to help reduce the chance of theft. They claim to work directly with Mastercard and Visa, they really seem to just work very hard to separate you from money you don't have and cannot afford to lose. Please don't take the same huge dose of stupid I did.-I'm too embarrassed to use my real name.
