I agreed to take merchandising assignments for this company and have done so for last two months, I have completed 42 assignments and to date have only been paid for 19. I am told over and over again that the contract says that they have 4-6 weeks to pay upon completion of assignments however I found nothing to this effect in the contract I signed. Also they don't take into account that in doing these assignments we lay out tons of money for ink to print their paperwork which at times can be more then 30 sheets per assignment. We also lay out for paper, fuel to run our vehicles and our time only to have to sit on our expenses until they decide to pay the CFA's. This is wrong. They call asking you to take assignments that far exceed your area, some 76 miles away for chump change. They will beg you to take them and on their website it might say the job is 22 miles away when in fact the truth is it's more then double that in miles. The truth is these jobs are just not cost effective and they end up costing you more then you make. At $3.00 a gallon in gas and averaging $20 in fuel round trip you end up losing money not even counting the ink and paper portion of your expense. If these people had to do these assignments for the rates they want to pay they wouldn't do them. It's a scam.
