Warning scammer alert for Marcie and Mike CrawfordI felt it was my civil duty to make this public. My boyfriend and I found Marcie's posting on Craigslist. in mid December. We contacted her about her healthy pedigree purebred Olde English Bulldogge puppies. Marcie guaranteed that they have registered papers and gave a one year health guarantee. We came and saw the puppies and gave a deposit to pick up the pup at 7 weeks when he was old enough to go home. When we came to pick up the pup and gave Marcie the remainder of the money she said she did not have the papers because they take longer to register due to the holidays "consider that they were born on Nov 21st and this was Jan 11" more than enough time to register a litter. She assured us that the papers were on their way and completed a bill of sale that she signed. No papers have come. Marcie said that he would resemble a pittbull/american bulldog mix for while when he is young., I took the dog to the vet and the vet seemed concerned about him being a pittbull mix instead of an Olde English Bulldog. He was also concerned about the fact that we have yet to receive papers. We contacted Marcie to ask for Vaccination dates and information about the parents Pedigree. She immediately became reluctant to give any information and said he was our problem now. We called the IOEBA "International Old English Bulldog Association" who she said the puppies were being registered with and they said they have no record of her, her litters, or any pending papers. When we asked her about it she told us that she didn't have time for this and to stop harassing her. She told us that the puppy is ours now and she has no reason to give us any more information even though she guaranteed papers and one year health. Marcie refuses to give us any information, and is threatening to make a police report for our harassment. Apparently asking a breeder questions about the dog she sold us is now considered harassment. We are very concerned and hope that this gets ut so no one else will have to deal with this type of situation. |
