Majestic Sales
Majestic Sales LLC Marquis Fulfillment Agency LLC Scammed by door to door magazine salesman. Donated $30 for magazines for troops in Pakistan. Had to

A young man named Eddie Hoskin(s) appeared at my door this evening and said he is serving our country as a marine in Pakistan. He stated he is on leave for six months and in a contest to sell the most subscriptions to magazines to send to troops in Pakistan. He introduced himself as a neighbor a couple of streets over whose father is a pediatrician named Dr. Johnson. He told me his father said he would have to perform some service such as washing my car or cleaning my gutters in order to justify asking me for a donation for the magazine subscriptions. He then showed me the list of magazines and asked me to choose two. When I asked him the cost, I thought he said $18 for the two, but later saw $118 on the order form. I told him I couldn't pay that amount. He reduced it to another plan for $59, and I told him I wouldn't write a check for that amount, either. He then said I could pay for half a subscription and he would find another person who could only pay for half. He had an answer for everything until I asked for a receipt for the $30 donation I ended up giving him. He didn't want to give me a receipt and made up something like "I only have three receipts and I have several other people to see." I told him I believed he approached me first and I required a receipt. He reluctantly wrote one out. This is when I really became suspicious, and after he left I checked out the company online. The rules for canceling the donation are on the back of the receipt, so I've written Marquis Fulfillment Agency a letter demanding a cancellation because it is their policy not to cancel on the phone.

My experience was almost word for word on the above complaint. Young fellow convinced me he lived a few streets over, that his father was in Afghanistan, so he was selling magazines to help out Wounded Warriors. Supposedly the money would be going to a military hospital I chose from his list and to his soccer team that was very successful. After writing a $30 check for 1/2 subscription, I had a bad feeling and checked out the company on line just to find it's all a scam.. I printed out 2 of the complaints, got in the car and hunted him down. After finding him I demanded my check back (which he gave to me) and told him to leave the neighborhood or I would go to the police. He sarcastically replied, "Go ahead, I've been doing this for 3 years and don't be mad." I went down to Town Hall (small town) complained, and they sent a cop to run him off.
Beware of these smooth talking young people; they have no morals or scruples and need to have their lying asses thrown in jail.

I had a very similar experience here in Central Florida. A young man came to my door and claimed to be selling subscriptions for Wounded Warriors program on behalf of his baseball team. He said his team was recently in a statewide tournament and needed to raise money for a trip to nationals. I asked him a few questions about his team and he seemed to provide reasonable answers but I wasn't totally convinced. He didn't even have a cap that matched his team! The donation requested was $59 I said I wouldn't donate that much but gave him $10 cash. He wrote me "receipt" for the $10 which was this Majestic Sales form. Later I looked up about his baseball team and couldn't find any credible information about it. Clearly a scam. Glad I only gave him 10 bucks!
