Scovis Law Group
Scovis Law Group , Audit Processing, Isabelle Maadi, Michael McDermot, David Marks, Jessica Talen took $2,800 to save our home and did NOTHING!! Newb

After my mortgage was sold to Bank of America and after countless calls to see how I can get my payments back on track I was told that my loan wasn't assigned to anyone call back in 2 weeks. After 2 months of that I contacted Scovis. I spoke with David Marks, but was still skeptical. Michael McDermott called and reassured me that they are a legitimate company and he was featured on NBC talking about how he helps homeowners everday save their homes. After 3 payments of $798 the ball was supposed to start rolling. After I called Bank of America to check to see if in fact they have been working with Scovis they hadn't recieved one call from them. Scovis's excuse was they did dropped the ball and it was their fault and gave many apologies. I then forwarded every piece of correspondance I recieved from BOA to Scovis including a work out plan only to recieve monthly email from Jessica Talen stating that Isabelle Maadi spoke to "whomever" at BOA and nothing is needed at this time and file is in active review. I started to become suspicious. I consulted another firm to see where I stood. Because of Scovis it looks as if I am going to loose my home because it has been a year almost and nothing has been done. Emails showing concern have gone unanswered. I have come to the realization that I am a victum of a scam. I wish there was a group that would form to sue these people! There seems to be some kind of releif for every excuse why people can't make mortgage payments...we need to make one for people that are victums of scams!

My husband and I have had nearly the exact same experience with Scovis and Michael McDivvit. We paid 3K and were repeatedly told that our file was being handled and even kept asking for the same information, claiming that the mortgage company was requesting it. I'm not sure if we will be able to keep our home, but I'm going to do what ever I can.

I wonder if all of us who have been burned by Scovis and Michael McDivvit can file a class action suit, I am sure as I live and breath, there are more than two of us who have been burned and will ultimately lose our homes to this scam. Any attorneys out there interested in taking on a case such as this??? I think it is the only way we will be able to stop what happened to us from happening to others

We got involved with Scovis back in 2009 in an attempt to have them do a loan modification for us with B of A since we were getting nowhere fast on our own. They promised that they had the legal team and contacts within B of A to make it happen. So, in our desperation, we also sent them a check for $3, 840 with a money back guarantee if they were not successful in getting us a modification. David Marks told us it could take up to three months. We provided all kinds of documentation as well as personal information, as you would know. Every time we attempted to contact them, we were put off with the need for more documentation, "we were under review" or they would get back to us in two weeks. At one point, we even met with outright rudeness on the phone by a woman named, Ashley Zoeller. That pushed us to becoming more forceful with them. The outcome was the biggest lie they told us. I was called by Isabelle Mahdi who asked me to give permission to a B of A representative to review our account. She "supposedly" put me on conference with this B of A rep. I had a feeling something was rotten in Denmark but I didn't think to ask the B of A rep's name and number. Had I done that, I could have called him back to verify that this was indeed happening. I'm certain now it was total B.S. and she just conferenced me into the phone of a coworker. What total scammers. I would love to see someone go to prison for this. At the very least, a Class Action lawsuit. I wish we could round all the other victims up but I'm not sure how we can locate them. The final nail in the coffin came when we tried to get our money back after a year of NOTHING from Scovis. We learned a short time later that they changed their name to Audit Processing. We felt like they must have been on the run. To date, we have filed a complaint with the District Attorney in Ventura County and we also filed with the State Attorney General, Kamela Harris.
