Mail Marketplace Franklin Marketplace, Kirk Johnson Sold our business a broken mail machine, BEWARE this guy is a SCAM!!! Minneapolis, Minnesota

We found a folder inserter on this guys website that looked like what we were in the market for and sent an email. Kirk called back promptly and told us all of the details, it sounded like a great buy based on his description. Kirk apparently brokers these machines for other people he sucks into his web so we even went so far as to contact the machines current owner. It all checked out so we gave him a check for $5000 in order to secure the machine. That's when things started to get scary, very little communication from Kirk after that point. We consider ourselves lucky, after our incident we've learned that most of the time his victims don't ever receive ANYTHING. The machine did arrive eventually after many calls and stories. The problem is that the machine was described in the sale as being in near perfect working order. It in fact is nowhere near perfect. We've had a repair tech working on this thing for over 12 hours at $150 per hour and it still isn't right. In addition to not working it was damaged during shipping. After several messages, Kirk hasn't called us since the machine arrived, he has his rude "assistant" call from time to time to harass us for the shipping cost he uncured but never wants to talk about our broken machine. Our response has been "we'd be happy to take it off of the invoice we send you once we have the junk machine you sold us running". Do not call, email, write or smoke signal this guy for ANYTHING!

You are 100% correct, big scammer. We got nailed for $1500 on a feeder it turns out he didn't have. He finally sent us a different feeder of 1/3rd the value. no communication, we want our money back. I did wrangle his cell phone number if you want it 612-558-1318. Call often I suggest. We need to shut this guy down. He is a plague on our industry.
