MacSpots Software, LLC Jason Jardim Cut and Run iPad Software Developer Internet |
6th of Jul, 2011 by User783789 |
This one is simple. MacSpots software was contacted via the web to discuss a large scale iPad development project which the owner, Jason Jardim, promptly responded to in December. After discussing the scope, pricing, timeframe, and development efforts that would be involved, they accepted the project and the initial $5,000 deposit with open arms. The owner who claims to be an iPad programmer, sub-contracted out most of the heavy lifting to an individual he represented as an employee only to find out, he wasn't. After several months of development and several installments totaling in excess of $15,000, the phone calls stopped being answered. The emails stopped being answered. Complete silence from the owner, Jason Jardim. Phone calls to his "employee" were in fact answered but he had little explanation as to his mysterious disappearance of his "boss". This was several months ago, yet several attempts to contact him have gone unanswered. Demands for a refund have not been responsded to. A suggestion to anyone looking for an iPad programmer: stay far far away from MacSpots Software and it's owner, Jason Jardim unless you're ready to donate to his "moving to California" fund. This company is unethical, dishonest, incompetent, and will blatantly steal your money while smiling. Be warned. |

Sales Signals LLC a pretty picture of what happened. We were hired in December for a 3 month Project. Well after several versions of code we wrote, they decided to FIRE their web developer. Which resulted in reseting the project 3 Months in. We stayed on board to consult, weekly meetings, etc. This continued for 6 months. So a 3 month project turned into 6 months and Sales Signals WASN'T ready for our 4th redo of code. On the 7th Month MacSpots Software decided to terminate this silliness.
Specs were constantly changing, Out of scope creep was a huge issue, and staying on target for design was always an issue.
** Beware of Sales Signals LLC **
Summary
Hired us for a 3 month iPhone Project
We had several code bases working with Web Developer #1
Sales Signals Fired Web Developer #1
MacSpots continued to give support, direction, and weekly Meetings
Web Developer #2 in the picture
iPhone Code Base changed once again (all out of scope)
3 More Months of Web Development before iPhone was starting.
Termination of contract. I assume this project is still in development, 8 Months later. 8 > 3. |
