LONG DISTANCE CONSOLIDATED BILLING USBI - IS THE BILLING SERVICE. MISREPRESENTED THEMSELVES AS AT&T (OUR CURRENT PHONE SERVICE PROVIDER) CLARKSTON, Mi |

This company called our business on 2-11-11 and said they were with AT&T and that there was an "internal mixup" in our billing and that they had to change it back to the way it was before....Our office assistant believe them and they ended up switching our long distance serving which doubled our bill, and caused us to lose a whole day of service (we are a business!) waiting for the service to be switched back to AT&T. I called the customer service dept. after I straightened all of this out with AT&T, and was told that they do not train their employees to misrepresent...but I don't believe it. They are scumbags. AT&T told me that a good way to avoid these types of scams, is to ask the caller what the amount of your last phone bill was...no one but your carrier will know that. |

We got the very same call today saying they were from Optimum 8/23/11.
But could not bring myself to agree to switching my long distance phone service to another provider as they asked ? That was the tip off. Loved the discounts they were offering but it was to good to be true. It was an attempt to get me to switch my provider and rip us off.

We received a call from this LDCB (Long Distance Consolidated Billing) scam company and unfortunately an after hours business employee picked up. Like the rest, they posed as an official ATT representative and quickly talked/tricked/deceived the employee into authorizing changes to be made. Funny thing is, this employee has NO authority to change / authorize anything within the company. But yet it appears LDCB only needs someone, anyone that is unsuspecting to just say yes and the deed is done - freaking pathetic!
This LDCB company is a plague and preys on unsuspecting individuals to take advantage. And uses very disgusting tactics to say the least!
If you get a call from these scum bags - tell them to take a hike and blow a loud whistle into the phone. Don't fall for this scam!
