London Brokers AMS scam, writing scam, internet scam Internet
17th of Apr, 2013 by User873143
London Brokers is a scam! London Brokers is a content mill that is run by unscrupulous individuals who prey on new and hopeful freelance writers. They make new writers go through a bunch of tests and write many "sample" article for which they are not compensated. The pay is far, far below what United States based content mills pay their writers such as $2 for 300 words. That is not even a penny a word! They drag new writers around, making them submit numerous articles and take "tests" then lock their accounts, often without paying them for the work they have done. I signed up for them but NEVER wrote for them because their pay was too low and, quite frankly, I can get paid 3 and 4 and even 10 times that on other sites. Recently, I began receiving emails from London Brokers so I tried logging on to deactivate my account because I don't want their spam. However, my account (the account I had never used) was blocked. When I contacted "support" to get my information so I could log on and deactivate my account, I was told that my account had been blocked "by an editor." When I pressed for more information I was sent an email containing this (along with a nasty, snarky comment): Editorial review:
14-OCT-2010: Thank you for trying AMS. AMS has strict standards for the quality of articles that are accepted. You did not read any of the materials or watch any of the videos on what AMS guidelines are. The grammar errors, sentence structure, word usage and punctuation errors indicate that you will not be a good match for the needs of AMS. Good luck in your future endeavors. Regards,
Dayn Now, that is very interesting, considering I had never written for this outfit. But what I found even more interesting is that if you Google this exact statement, it is posted all over the internet! Good, solid writers are receiving this same bogus statement and they are not getting paid for the work that they do!!! Fortunately, I never was desperate enough to write for them. I write for several good, reputable sites that are nothing like London Brokers. If you want to write, steer clear of this London Brokers scam! Go with a reputable company such as Content Authority or Text Brokers. They pay fairly well when you get a higher rating, but at least you will get paid and their support services are professional. London Brokers is a scam. They are unprofessional and take advantage of new writers. Don't waste your time and talent on this unscrupulous, unethical outfit. London Brokers is unethical. London Brokers takes advantage of writers. London Brokers is bad for writers, especially for those who want to break into the business. I have done some research on the London Brokers scam. On forums where people were telling the truth about the London Brokers scam (saying it was a scam, or anything negative), London Brokers would reply and rebut with an often whiny propaganda laden load of nonsense. It is straight off a PR script. I don't think they have one original thought among them. Everything is a form letter or blanket statement, never anything original. It will be interesting to see their response here. I am sure that soon we will see their whiny, cookie cutter rebuttals. But don't take my word for it, research them yourself. Look at the pay rates. that is enough right there to stop you in your tracks. No self respecting writer would ever subject himself to this London Brokers shady operation. And in case you didn't hear me, London Brokers is a scam! Run far, far away from them! If you are looking for content to be written, there are many more professional content mills and freelance sites that are ethical and treat their writers with respect. But if you are only out to get a cheap article, well, remember this: you get what you pay for. Stop supporting London Brokers which is the equivalent of a writing sweat shop. Support reputable businesses because if London Brokers is scamming their writers, it is only a matter of time before they will be scamming you.
