I posted two items i wanted to sell in Craigslist and Mrs Elizabeth Benson [[email protected]] This is her response:
"Thank you for getting back to me. Am okay with the price and
condition, though I'll be using the services of a mover who will come
for the pick up on my behalf because I'm currently away for a
contracting Job but I will send a Certified check through my Bank to
cover the cost. The check will be delivered to you next day air
service by a reliable courier company. Please do provide me with your
full mailing address, and also indicate your final price, the Name
that should be on check and finally a cell phone #. I will also advise
you to discard any other buyer, Kindly delete the posting because am
serious in buying it, when the Funds Clears then pick-up arrangement
follows. I will want your honesty on this because am a God fearing
person. waiting to read from you soon." It sounded weird because i asked which one of the two products she wanted and she didnt address that in the response in addition to the strange mover picking up etc... I googled her email address and a link brought me to this website. someone else reported them with a very similar description. Stay away from this people. |

Here is another Craiglist scammer to add to the list.
Sent to me in response to my craigslist ad, I'm not falling for it. No. 1 why would anyone that lives in the United Kingdom be responding to another country in the 1st place.

I have received emails from this Amanda smith as well, went along with it to the point of receiving a check for 2500.00$. I contacted the bank on the check and they verified that it was a legitimate account within there banking system. Should I cash the check with a hold on the funds for a certain amount of days?

I received an initial email from [email protected] asking for my personal email address so that they can dicuss this directly with me. After sending that I received the response below from Chris Wooten with this email address [email protected]. Thank goodness I Googled the email address and found that it was a scam! I simple responded that my item was SOLD!

I spoke to my bank and they said they would put a five day hold on it and for me to tell Chris that it would be a 10 day hold that way if it was a scam they would get the check processed thru the banking system and then i could take it to our local Police and post fraud charges...which is what I intend to do. It seems to still be working for them this scam but maybe we real people can inform all our banks that way they have record of these people as frauds if anyone ever goes thru not knowing the bank maybe able to let them know I dont know but its just a thought...but as the saying goes IN GOD WE TRUST ALL OTHERS PAY CASH...REGARDLESS... |

I received an email from the following Scam Artist:

I was very skeptical, as I have received a few emails like this before. Have always been under the impression..(If it sounds too good to be true it most likely is) :)
so I responded with the address but I gave him the address of the local Police Department's address and no phone number. We will see what happens :D

Received this regarding a Craigslist ad I'm running. The 1st email from this person was via the CL email system asking me to respond to the email address "Mawobexz(at)gmail.com ". I did, and received this:
