LingereNYC.com New York Stocking Exchange Horrific Customer Service, Damaged Item Sent, Blamed Customer Brooklyn, New York |

Ordered stockings from this company early in the week. Stockings were a little slow to ship, but when they finally arrived, stockings were damaged in the package. Stockings were removed from the package to inspect damage. Once the damage was confirmed my wife contacted the customer service and spoke to Harry Sutton, who is the owner but claimed to just be an employee who needed to check with his manager. Harry proceeded to berate her about how they couldn't return the stockings because she probably worn them, which she didn't. He also proceeded to blame her for the holes and runs in the stockings. His customer service drove her to tears. When I called I was met with the same brash customer service. Harry refused to tell me his name, but based on the attitude and details I knew it was the same person. He then proceeded to tell me that my wife had clearly damaged the stockings, even though she's been wearing high quality, full nylon stockings for years. But according to Harry, her just touching these stockings must have damaged them. He then told me that if they got them back and they didn't "lay flat" he would determine they have been worn and not refund any money. I told him that she took them out to inspect them and did not wear them, but he was adamant that she must have and that his customers lie to him all the time. He also proceeded to tell me that he could "give two shits about my customers". What a great thing to say as a business owner! Needless to say, the level of horrible customer service given by this company is ridiculous. I admit that I was argumentative during the conversation, but I had to be given the amount of pushy over talking that Harry Sutton engaged in during our conversation. I assume that as long as everything goes right with your order, this is a fine company to deal with. BUT, once something goes wrong and you look to the company that sold you the product to help resolve an issue, all you get is accusations and attitude. Steer clear. |
