I am 5 months pregnant and have been a member of Lifestyle Family Fitness since January of 2011. I loved my gym experience but when I got pregnant and was put on bedrest in July of 2011 I had called the pickerington office to find out if I could have my account put on hold since due to doctors orders I was unable to go to the gym w/o risking the health of my unborn child! I was told no they could not do that w/o cancelling my membership altogether and paying penalties for doing such. So I asked about lowering my monthly payment from $58.56/month. They said that they could do that by me cancelling my tanning part of the membership since I of course can not tan while being pregnant. That would lower my monthly pymt to around $46/month. Well I called into corporate on 8/10/11 & they told me that they could lower my monthly payment and give me a one time payment waiver of $45 which made my 8/12/11 billing only $13.56 so I accepted. Well after consulting with my doctor I found out that I could return to the gym finally but only to do light cardio. So on 9/9/11 I called back to corporate to once again lower my monthly payment. They told me if I immediately replied to the email they sent me it would reflect on my 9/12/11 billing in the amount of $19.99/month plus tax. Well today is 9/12/11 & my account was debited $58.56 not the $19.99 plus tax or even the $46. So I immediately called first thing this morning to get this matter cleared up considering I have not been to the gym since 7/4/11 & before that it was in mid April! So when I call they tell me that they never received my email on Friday then transferred me to another department where I sat on hold for 17 minutes before being transferred to a general voicemail. While waiting for a return phone call I resent the email from Friday just to find out that they did receive it and once again I was lied to by them. After 7 hours I finally received a return call in which the lady was very rude and unhelpful so I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. The supervisor too was very rude and unhelpful and told me they could not make billing changes to my account with only 3 days notice even though last month they made changes to my account with only 2 days notice!!! I told her I wanted reimbursed completely and to cancel my membership altogether considering they were ripping me off and the customer service was the worst I had ever experienced! She went on to tell me they would not reimburse me and that they are going to charge me another $58.56 next month!!! UNREAL!!! If you want to get ripped off join Lifestyle Family Fitness Center, they'll be sure to continuously lie to you and take you for every penny they can! |
