So I have owned a bar for a number of years and I was approached one day by a sales rep. from Lieberman Companies, LLC about how I needed to have an ATM in my business and how They would place one in for free, take care of it for me, and even pay me for not doing a thing. Listen clearly, if it sounds too excellent to be right IT IS, and nothing is free in this life we all know that. So my huge mistake I let them place one in for free and I have had nothing but problems since.
About every other week it runs out ofcash and is down for sometimes up to a few days. I have to call and complain each time, sometimes 2-4 times before they come out and load it again. Then when they do load it some shady character(employee of theirs) tries to sneak into my bar and get in and get out without having to deal with me. Then they said they were going to pay me? Ya right. They are chargning my customers $2.50 to use the d*mn thing and so far they have only paid me once in six months.
My advice to you know what I know now is first go with a company that just does ATMs, do not, and I repeat, do not let a vending company do an ATM, go with an ATM company that specializes in it. The second thing is make sure you get a new machine and have access to load it yourself. They place some ancient thing in my bar they dusted off out of their warehouse and trust me, when it runs out ofmoney on the weekends, I can't get ahold of anyone with the company until Monday.
I have bands once a month on Saturdays and on two occasions now they didn't place enoughmoney in, even though i warned them of my event, and by eight o' clock at night my ATM was empty. Not only could customers not getmoney that they needed to getmoney to pay for cover, I estimate I lost around $2,000 in lost sales in my bar in one night. I gave them a second chance and then when this happened for a second time I said I've had it and I told them to come get their machine. Then to my horror they showed me the fine print where I signed a five year deal and I was stuck with them.
Do not make the same mistake I did, go with a professional company and make sure you keep it loaded withmoney yourself. Plus all of the surcharge they have made would have paid for my ATM buy 10 times over. I looked online now and saw how cheap it would be to buy a new one and my heart sank. Worst choice I ever made. Stay away from Lieberman Companies and any other company that is not a reputable ATM company. Go with a company that has been in business a long time and doesn't pressure you into anything. |
